Having to sell my 66 bug as I need a sensible daily driver, It's not in the best condition cosmetically, the guttering has some rust and the heater channels have been overplated top and underneath recently, it's mot's till July 23rd 09 and TAXed (tax exempt). The bug has been partly painted with matte style black rattlecans. It had a new windscreen fitted a month ago. It's had a front disc conversion and these are drilled to accept VW 4 stud and ford 108 pcds, hense the 3 spokes. I also have a spare set of 66 front hubs&drums (5 stud) that will go with the car. Just remembered I have a spare pair of 66 doors that can go with the car. It may be a little out of budget, but the Mondeo and Pug could be possible contenders (Mondeo may fail on size and mileage counts though (but it has always been pretty dependable to us, and is going purely due to a lack of space basis). FBB, he's in Rugby, Warwickshire (as it says in his mini profile  ). |

I wouldn't mind a pug 306, depends what your after for it, I'm a little short of funds at the moment unless you wanna straight swap And yes I live in Braunston which is near to Rugby. I've updated my location now. |

Edit. I know you're not an MOT tester (well, you could bem but I'm just making an assumption) but can you see or do you know of any obvious flaws with the car which might crop up come MOT time? Just out of curiosity, that's all.

I'm not an MOT tester but I can't see anything that would cause it to fail apart from a weak handbrake.

I thought the days of 60's Bugs on the road for £500 were long gone, I've posted this on my local aircooled forum as we're in Bucks.........Might get some interest. Wish I had a 'sensible daily' to swap with, don#t fancy an '07 Scooter do ya? ;D Best of luck with the sale. |

If I can't find a swap to go for, I'll Look at the cash offers as they came in. I can't really afford to be without a car at the moment though, as I've just started a job and pennies are tight.
