I'm breaking one of my Herald parts cars. It's a 13/60 and it's very scabby. It was driven around the salty roads of Oxfordshire in its later years by a neighbour of ours, then it spent a decade sitting in a field before I bought it as a basket case and put it on hardstanding. This means it's had an over-generous dose of the tinworm over the last 30 years. Think of SoC's HA Viva and you're nearly there. I doubt there's a panel without rust on it somewhere, and some panels have rust everywhere.
Everything's up for grabs on this car, except for the heater and radiator. The engine ran when I got it, I'll have a go at it today to see if I can start it.

Just the springy spokes and the odd ribbon of fabric. However I do have more than one Herald roof. Give me a chance, I'll look at the others. One'll be no good I know, it's got a Britax sunroof, however one of the others may have something. |

One other thing from today, the engine turns readily. Haven't tried to start it but it's looking likely.

She shut it down when she noticed oil pressure dropping so hopefully its something I can fix and not have to pull the engine out... Sounds like the underside of the car is nicely rust proofed though. *I realise the dodgy nuance  |

OK, never mind about the headlining. Might be after an engine now though Strangely enough I might be able to help you there I once had the drain plug fall out of my 948. Oil light on and I've pulled up within 500 yards. Long streak of oil on the road, nice rustproofed Herald. I got away with it so you might too. |

This car has one that ran when I got it and turns readily now. Is that good enough? I'll have a go at starting it, probably at the weekend, if I succeed I'll post a video. |

Thanks, can you check the engine number to make sure its a pukka 13/60 one? We're definitly not going to go back to an 1147 and if we go 1296 I'd like it to be the more tuneable one |
