That pre-x will look lovely between the towers of your classic. So whats the plan for the HA - As much as I'd love for you to say your going to give it the full SOC treatment, I fear going by the pics it might be a spot too far gone... talking of spots, have a little HA I spoted last year somewhere deep in the hills

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Don't like stretched tyres, very low profile tyres & I think a car CAN be too low. Perhaps I'm odd.

That blue SL is identical to mine! Oh, and carbs will be jetted slightly different as HA is 1057cc, HB is 1159cc.

Ta for that martin I do hope yours is identical to the nice blue one and not the thing in my yard I had another look today, I have checked over the whole car and compiled an exhaustive list of savable panels. 1. Bootlid thats it. bizarrely, it is mint with no rot at all, and the rest of the car (including the roof) is riddled.

Yeah, noticed that ;D its a 711M 1600 with classic sump and mounts. Rebuilt? there is the packet for a full gasket set in the boot of the car, so maybe.

went and picked up a skoda once with a recovery truck.. put the winch cable onto what looked like a sold bit of box at the front and lo and behold the old boy had sculpted it out of the finest wood and blacked it in...

I'll see your riveted in repair patch and raise you an entire inner rear quarter held in with 3 self tappers (well, it WAS I lifted it out to photo the hole...) A similar quality repair to the door bottom Some "rat look" inner floor (thankfully the rat is long gone. Plenty evidence of its occupation tho Where does the rotten inner wing end, and the rotten outer wing start? Zone toughened glass "for your safety". How comforting, a safety feature! No seatbelts tho....

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
