"aquired" a HA viva today Barn find, abandoned project.. yada yada. its a '62 or a '63 I think... Looks ok so far? don't look down then! Its literally eaten alive by tinworm, there is no chassis left, no floors, the (replacement) wings have rotted away beneith the black panel paint. But surprisingly it does run! Should be good for spares. Too far gone for rat look!

Blimey. That's a shame but I suppose euthenasia is the best thing for this little fella (done in my bestest Rolf Harris voice).

Pah! You've resurrected worse! Mind you, that is impressively rusty. I pulled out one of my Herald parts cars for breaking today and I thought it was rusty but it's practically complete by comparison to that one.

Sunshine floors are never a good look. Has it been kept inside a grit bin?

Yep, I think you might be right ;D Still, drop it on an MX5 chassis and Bob's ya mothers brother ya know, I vauguly thought of doing that until I actually saw it. The drifer's door came apart in my hand when I opened it! I suspect if you break wind loudly it will dismantle itself. No, not a grit bin. I think it spent the last 10 years on the heli deck of an north sea oil platform.

I could maybe do with a few spares from this, like carb, boot lock, alternator if it has one.

Yeah, mine is an HB, the carbs are definately the same. I only need the barrel out of the boot lock, I read they're interchangeable, and mine's missing.

I had an escort mk2 almost as rusty as this once and that had an MoT and was less than 15 years old. This poor thing is going on 45.
