Wish I had some land big enough to ride on, I envy farmers so much. I could actually get a big bike now as I'm 18, but it's a lot of hassle to do my test (still haven't completed my CBT yet). Is it comfy riding something so down low like that?, normal bikes make my back ache after a little while as my short arms mean I have to hunch over a bit. haha, you can get get a 'big bike' (up to 33 bhp) when your 17.. but i'd rather drive and have this... yeah, its very comfy. but then it would be, it was made to suit me! its a bit too stretched out for most other people though.. but for me, sit just right on it taa -Liam

That's right if you do your full test, still limited to a 125 unfortunately though. Tempted to go for something bigger in my little pit bike at some point, it's a four stroke so I could go a fair bit more than 125 without going over the 33bhp limit (current engine is 9bhp).

I love bobbers, I hope to have one someday. All you got to do is cut the rear fender on any bike and you'll have a 'bobber'

sorry about the late reply dude, never realised anyone replied.. yeah, its a shame, but its alright, I've taken the big alli one off the side, and put a smaller cut down one underneath the number plate. less noticeable. and i got pulled over, nothing said about anything. other than the guy liked it.. so thats all good the mirrors, it's weird to begin with. but you soon get used to it. its a bit of a pain when a police car has his lights going behind you, but you cant see them.. but oh well. haha. its actually alot nicer to ride without mirrors once you get used to it.. the bike looks better, and you can see every where around you. kinda like if you took the A-pillars out of a car.. well theres an update.. but no pics till tonight... the old engine died on me the monday last week. so i quickly sourced a new lump. and i got a chinese 4 valve lump with full loom. which is quite good. the engine starts on the button... when it has petrol.. haha. and it seems to be a pretty solid lump too.. no knocks, taps, bangs, nothing. so i think ebay did me a big favor anyway.. thats what i've been doing. making the frame house new my engine. almost done now, after a weekend and an evening... just need to get a couple of holes filled and the lights wired, and then paint.. then it'll be on the road again..possibly quite a bit faster too -Liam

so, the update.. new engine.. chinese 4 valve.. out of a daelim vs 125 evolution (top speed is aparently 63 as standard.. but that'll be a fair amount higher soon sitting in the frame, rear mounts made.. part of the way through the front one, then, once fully mounted.. the first fire up took place. after, alot of kicking over the kick start, and a few turns, it started up perfect. (idle mixtures are out) now i get to use the rear lights i was given, thanks again Joe. ;D and thats it for now.. the frame is painted as of tonight..re assembly and exhaust modifying will take place tomorrow evening.. might even get this thing on the road again.. cheers, -Liam

right. the reason for no replys for so long... turns out that the guy who had this engine before had run it without oil for some time, and has ended up ripping apart the cam carrier.. after getting a friend of mine to machine me a new bronze bush to hold the cam in place.. I set about finishing this thing off unfortunately I don't have any 'in-the-process' pics as I was focused on getting it re built. pics: after installing the engine and getting about 60 miles on the clock.. decided to throw up some dirt for the camera then decided I didnt like the front end.. things were to change! strip it down.. new digi speedo to un-clutter the front.. finished front end, with moved indicators today consisted of getting everything re-blacked and blued.. so will get pictures of that tomorrow when the suns out oh how i've missed being on the road!

Love the evolution of this bike.
Would it be easy to machine/file down the Daelim names on the sides of the engine ?

yes it will. just gotta find the time to do it at the moment, as I'm also going to get artistic with some black paint on the engine, so it'll look better too hopefully wont be too long, as its letting the look of the bike down to be honest.. -Liam
