This car belongs to an old lady who I have been doing some work for. She has gone into an old peoples home and I am selling this car for her. 100% of the money is going back to the old lady and I am only selling this to help her out. With this in mind, please only enquire if you are genuinely interested in buying the car. I am very busy myself (self employed) and really do not have time to waste on people who are not 100% interested. Sorry to sound harsh, but I don't really have time myself.....but want to help her out as much as possible. I will give as much info as I can to help you out. Please only enquire if you are serious about wanting the car. Many thanks..... ;D
Model: Skoda Felicia 1.3
Year: 1996
Mileage: 27,000
Tax: End May 09
MOT: End May 09
Location: Bristol
Price: £600
This is a genuine Granny Spec one owner from new Skoda Felicia. Full history, bought in Bristol, serviced by main Skoda dealer from new etc....all paperwork present.
The car is in excellent overall condition with only three obvious (but minor) defects to the bodywork (details to follow). I've had a good look over the car an it all looks very genuine, straight & true as you would expect for this mileage. It could do with a good dose of T-cut or even just polsih because the car has been standing for a few months, but the paintwork all looks excellent. One afternoon with some elbow grease and the car would be near mint! I couldn't even find any car park dents!!
Interior:
The interior is in stunning condition. It's had some rather fetching granny spec seat covers on since new and the seats are 100% mint underneath (although they are dusty underneath the covers) No stains, rips, wear or anything!
No fancy things - proper povo spec Skoda. Manual windows, no rev counter, no radio, no cigar lighter etc....PERFECT!
Oily bits:
The car had been stood for a while, yet started on the first blip of the key. No undue noises and revs sweetly.
I took it for a 5 mile drive and have to say that it drives lovely. Everything feels nice & tight, no squeeks, rattles or anything. Very solid and composed. I'd have to say that it feels like a new car to drive.
Tyres are very good. Fronts about half worn, rears are like new. Exhaust looks recent and there is nothing at all mechanically that concerns me. Overall I'd say it's mechanically near perfect.
Under the arches everything looks great. Some road dirt, but otherwise near mint. A blast with the jetwash and it would look like new (bright white) in the arches
BAD BITS!
Someone has broken in at some point (or tried to break in) and they have levered the rear offside quarter window out. The window is there, properly fitted and all intact and the only thing that gives the 'break in' away is the bent edge inside the window rubber. This would be very easy to sort and has not caused any damage beyond the bent edge - it looks a lot worse in the photo. This could easily be bent back into shape and treated. The affected area would all hide within the window rubber:
The rear nearside wheelarch has a slight scrape in it. Nothing bad, but the only other damage to the bodywork:
Lastly, there is a scuff in the front bumper on the corner of the nearside. This can be seen in the first photos. There is also a mark continuing along the front wing/arch but I have looked closely at this and I am 99.9% sure that this is purely cosmetic (surface) and would t-cut out with no effort - I am just trying to be 100% honest!
OVERALL:
If I was in the market for a 'run-around' then this advert would not exist. The old lady would have her £600 and I would have a near mint low mileage Skoda. For absolute minimum work someone on here could walk away with a stunning car for the money.
I have looked at the prices of Skoda's and taking into account the mileage, condition, history etc....this is a true bargain.
The old lady does not know yet that the car is being sold (her carer/mentor has asked if I could sell it) but the money will o towards the cost of her care home fees.
As said before, please only enquire if you are genuinely interested. I am more than happy to give up my time on this sale, I am more than happy to answer any questions, but please bear in mind that I don't have time to waste. This is for a good cause, not for any kind of self gain.
Many thanks,
Bruce.
