Oooh I like this thread. Used to park stupidly on purpose when I was at college. Not to get back at other people who had parked badly, but to get at the college themselves for building such a rediculous car park. However, we used to get people putting motorbikes in car spaces, so we'd retalliate by parking over 5 bike bays. There was a section that had a line of bike bays, then a bit of pavement and then about 10 more bike ones. Freinds used to parkin the longer line of ten (maybe more) so I'd just swing in behind, over the pavement and flowerbed and park stupidly on purpose because the whole site was badly thought out. In fact, the Bluebird didn't properly fit in the bays. Heres a pic of my battered old 106 parked underneath the ramp for the two story bit. Was marked out as not being a viable space, but you could get two cars there. The Corsa belonged to my friend.

I see it a lot, People with nice, expensive, Valuable or top end motors taking up two spaces so no one parks too close and hits their doors etc. I have no problem at all with this, I my self used to do it with my old Saff!
BUT when they do it in the spaces at the front of the carpark it anoys me! I always used to park at the back of the carpark at work and at my local tesco's! Both carparks are way too big and no one parks at the back there is always spaces at the front, Walking extra 200 yards wont kill me (infact i need the exercise) and u can guarantee no one parks near by anyway. That i have no problem with. If it was a busy carpark i still parked as far away from the croud as i could but if it was busy it was hard luck and i parked properly and hoped for the best. Or park out of town and walk/bus it in.
It's living here why i sold it tho. Busy carpark full of idiots. So I have three cars now that can afford to take small hits and damage and me not worry about it.

yeah me too, i'll park over two spaces in the Merc but i do it right at the back of the car park, keeps it away from the idiots, i'd rather have a longer walk and not have to try and find new door skins or fill mine up with filler, i'll get worse once its painted as well.

I used to park my old estelle properly at work. Never overhanging or sticking out. But then work got all fussy when the salesmen got things like porsches and Beemers and I didn't fit with the image they were trying to project.
So they relegated me to a space miles away. Until one of the women staff spotted a rat next to her space. by the hedge.
I was asked to swap spaces and put my estelle next to the rat infested hedge, so that she didn't get bitten.
Nice huh.

I have blocked people people completely in at work when they've parked across two bays. Our work car park is like a little NCP, and I've just parked across the back of the bays. They aren't leaving until I've finished my shift, be it at 11PM or 3:30PM.
Normally BT Bigwigs and they aren't happy.
Remember, the bigger the Ego, the worse the parking.

If they asked to move my car as it wasnt pricey enough i'd have parked it more obviously than ever. Cant stand snobs! I remember getting badly boxed in in my 106 by an AX - just reversed until the AX's bumper bent rnough to give me room to get out, Serves the muppet right - my bumper was zip-tied on :-)

Aye - don't think theres ever a need to park across two bays

So instead of us who got in early getting the spaces near the building, they changed it to those with Luxury cars, Sports cars, New cars who got the closest spaces. Then those with tidy cars got the middle car park spaces, then those with sheds and old cars got to park a long way further away.

Sooooo want to say nothing, but seen one of two comments, including bike parking etc. Many places do not cater for motorbikes at all, or put them at the far end of the carpark (which is still OK) However, I had a colleague who was and is a prize TWUNT.... he would shut the door on motorways if he saw bikes come from behind in traffic, absolute prize cock. He thought it was funny seeing bikers almost lose it when he moved over in his BMW ... Cock.
The ones that really get me are the 4x4's in the disabled bays with HUGE hairy arsed builder types , looking like they just came from thje local gym.... once more Prize cocks.
What is much nicer in my opinion is seeing the surprise in peoples eyes when you are considerate.
Have to say the twunts who park right up against you, or accross 2 spaces in their ego wagons peee me off too.

Some dickhead came flying into sainsburys t'other week, straight into a disabled bay, got out, locked his E34 and walked into the shop. Told me to "Eff off " when i enquired aloud how his disability must be mental, not physical, as he could obviously move ok. Lovely man :-) don't like being sworn at, so thought i'd draw attention to his car by stopping behind it and beeping my horn - he didnt like that :-) Funny thing is, if he had said "sorry, its an emergency" no-one would have cared :-) On the flipside - at the M&S near work i've seen a disabled badged car parked in a normal space when there were several disabled bays free - meant i couldnt park anywhere! Nobbers!

I once saw a bright pink 3 series convertible parked US style diagonally across a disabled bay right outside the Tesco doors, parked with the roof down.
I mentioned to the store security about it not having a badge. They commented that they weren't responsible for the car park, and the car park management only have it manned and enforced on Rugby match days, as a small part of the car park is shared with the ground, and the rest is for shoppers only.
I felt like peeing onto his drivers seat. Yes it was a bloke. As I was driving out, I saw him getting back in, adjusting his designer tinted glasses even though it was dark enough for the automatic lights on the IS to trigger.

Oh manwe used to have fun at work doing this. Being a pizza delivery driver you just drop in and run out again so parking neat was never really needed so we'd park all over the car park out the back. If any one else wanted to get in there they wouldn't have. At one point i just stopped at the entrance and left the car with just enough space for people to get around me.
On delivery is another story. Double parking, parking on the grass strip out the front, in the persons drive most of the time not all the way in so hanging out into the street. One guy used to park on peoples front lawn!
Fun times...
