Ok we all love our cars, but whats you favourite part of it, seats, lights, dash, windscreen wipers? The coupe has many bits i like, the bonnet star, the "clap hands" wipers, and the big chrome horn ring in the steering whee, but best of all I love the throttle linkage on my Benz, instead of a 10 quid throttle cable, mine has a linkage that would probably cost about £200 to replace, its made of girders! Its a complicated contruction of links, bushes, ball joints, springs to take up engine movements and would probably last for a 100 years if the rest of the car was up to it, check it out.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

gosh this is a hard one.. (ps mr Benz should that hole in that linkage be oval like that or has it worn??) ok, Myn is full of lovely curves and touches but.......... heres my favourite bit I think... its also the picture my sig is made of, just shows how all the lines merge at the back of the car..

:)could become a nice little thread this!!! i like the chrome detailing on the 'C' i particularly like it around the 'extra' rear side windows and bordering the vinyl roof , bit odd i know but i think this thread might throw up a few strange fetishes!!!

With the Saff it's gotta be the 500+ miles to a tank of fuel!
Or how i managed to find a tidy rear bumper so the chrome strip is still chrome and how tidy the back of the car is in general, Shame about the rest of it!
Hatchback has to be the black/blue interior and the uber rare Yanspeed 4-2-1 manifold! Would have been other rare engine goodies but they're up the loft now and not on the car! Over all with Sierra's i've always liked the way the dash is angled towards the driver since i first saw them!
Fiesta, The butter wouldnt melt look, My home made plastic boot trims and door cards dead proud of them. Matt black engine bay one of my better budget ideas. The wheels!

Good post. I like the star, and the view over the bonnet (W126). Best thing though is getting in and starting up - that feeling of comfort, and 'what a nice place to be' ...
No pics, would just be a bit of a grin probably :)

The sound the inside of my wheels makes when scraping against the ambulance friendly speed humps because my car has stupid tyres. I also like the ridiculousness of hitting the bump stops occasionally, anyone who has been in my car with me will have heard the giggles of glee I probably shouldn't like these things... but I do.

For me on the 'B Sebring, it's the arches and wheels really . On the white car it's the dash layout. Really like it.

Does it have to be something physical or can I say the smell? I love the smell inside my old Volvo, all older cars seem to have their own special aroma that no matter how many sweaty arses have sat in it and however many fags have been smoked in it, just doesn't go away. OK then, I also like the long, spindly gear lever, the wee organ-stop knobs on the dash, and the foot operated headlamp dipswitch!

ummm hard one.. recently my dad drove the car while i drove a metro home. and looking in the mirror and seein the santana it just looks soooo hard which made me grin alot ;D or the fact as hotwire said when it drags its ass over the slightest raise in the road haha but the feeling driving it does it for me at the mo... mainly the sound , as it just sounds realy agro if i put my foot down. real raspy and tight and its still on a standard system

I'm a sucker for one off bespoke bits. So in the Hillman its probably my shifter, made specifically for it. On the Oxford, once its back together my new/old manifold will be one of my favourite bits. And the Herald? Probably the driver

I know what you mean about the linkage Popup - mine has the same set-up. It's a strange sensation when it spits back through the carb and I can feel the accelerator pedal jolt against my foot as the force of the explosion is transmitted back through the linkage! ;D It'd be hard to choose my favourite bits of my Benz, I love all of it (apart from the crusty holes...)
