Hi MM
Is this engine out of an MX5 as well and is it a Factory turbo or are you doing a retro fit. I might have to tap into your expertise on the turbo setup. 1600 or 1800cc. I wish my chassis was at that stage- Nice progress.

Went down on Sunday to pick up an axle that is in the left of this picture and I can confirm the engine was in, not sure that my comment about replacing the cardboard engine mounts with metal ones helped it was looking fantastic, when did you say it needed to be finished by

good to meet you, progress is steadt and I can confirm the cardboard mounts held up well, see. . . Well actually from these cardboard ones you saw I made these, That fit in a bit like this, So onto the next, wiring. I plan to transplant the whole loom over when I did the rotary swap I did cut some corners here so this time a full reloom, may as well do it right. After that brake lines, fuel and water the back out looking a bit shabby I fear until ive the bodywork sorted, a donar car is on standby for some 6r4 influence arches. . . Hehe!

Is there any advantage to having only metal engine mounts? Or is it just sacrificing comfort for ease of fabrication?

huge update awaits, including such things as crx radiators, ! Funnily enough, I've just bought an Aluminium Civic radiator as it appears to be almost identical in size to the original Vitesse one! Looking forwards to seeing where you've gotten to with this

A few weeks hard work resulted in a fully rolling chassis,, new fuel lines, brake lines again ect it was deemed silly not to ensure all items were replaced with new to give me many years of happy motoring. The new engine, thankyou bruce, has proved to be great, with more torque than before these black lines were acheived hehe The civic rad has worked very well, ill get some better pictures tomorrow but this is the current look of the daily drive.
