Ground clearance wont be a problem,
The new X member is 100mm deep same as the original one,
It will ride a bit higher than i wanted but if i set it lower the tca's will be pointing upwards to the wheel not down,
Will come down a bit with lower profile tyres though.

steering column next Want to keep the column and steering wheel in the original position The steering has to go around the turbo, and so the knuckle is not at a tight angle, the top joint wll have to be inside the car, means i cant support the column off of the bulkhead. Will need to support the centre knuckle off of the chassis, probably with a rose joint. Using mazda bottom spline into the rack, through a rose joint, welded on escort spline into an escort knuckle, another escort splined bar goes to a mazda knuckle which has a mazda spline welded to the end of the cortina shaft.

cut down cortina column weld on end of mazda shaft Cut and shut various escort splines, knuckle, and another mazda spline into the rack Still got to get a 15m rose joint to support the middle knuckle Brake cylinder and pedal next
