Brilliant day Nick, thanks for having us, its always interesting to see "behind" the scenes at a shoot and we got to see more than most today Traction did seem a problem as you left, we managed fine, maybe I should have driven your Camaro again, I had no problems getting the power down......couldn't get through that narrow entrance though ;D

A behind the scenes view of todays fun.... Nick Grant's BOAC Photoshoot "I'm doing a shoot on Saturday, 14th Feb, down near Gatwick with a model dressed as a 60s Air Hostess. We're shooting in among a bunch of old planes in a museum, and I want it to look as if she's just turned up for work in her car!"Having seen the quality of Nick's previous shoots I decided to offer our 1974 1303 Roobarb. A quick google revealed the uniform was still in use in 1974 and being bright blue would work well against the Rallye Yellow of our car. On a chilly Valentine's Day we set off for Gatwick and the Aviation Museum behind the main airport. We parked up in front of the site's Hunting Percival Pembroke, a twin prop transport aircraft and awaited the model.... Nick the photographer owns a chunky muscle car in the form of a 1966 Camaro. With a couple of modern cars in the background it was decided the Chevy would block them out nicely and keep things retro, I jokingly asked Nick if I could borrow his keys to move the 5lt V8 and to my surprise he said YES, so I carefully trundled round the site till the road got too narrow before handing the wheel back. Shortly after Charnie, the model, arrived and squeezed into the BOAC air hostess outfit Nick had brought along and the pair began setting up a few scenes with a suitcase full of props. With these shots finished there was a quick change to a 60s dress. Nick concentrated on the car with some close ups before more snaps as we looked on, as did lots of the blokes servicing and restoring the aircraft! After a couple of hours Nick was happy with the 400+ photos he'd got and called it a day. The shots will form part of a new book he is working on featuring his photography with cars and models over the last year or so. We moved the beetle over in front of a huge Avro Shackleton for a quick snap and headed for home. Big thanks to Nick, the finished pictures make the car look really cool. ;D
