Oh, also, if i buy 3 random SU's, as long as there all the same size, and the same type, i assume the only variables are needles and dash pot springs right?
Hopefully the seller wont want a fortune for his aquaplane set up and i wont have to bother with all the fabrication!

SUs do come in different "formats" ie, float chambers on left/right and at slightly varying angles. I'm fairly sure the bodies themselves are no different though and you could change a left one for a right one by swapping parts about. The angle is determined by a little plastic spacer but I dare say Burlen could supply you with any bits you'd need if you ended up with different ones.
The throttle & choke levers may also be handed. Might be an idea to buy two pairs of MGB ones for example giving you some extra bits to play with.

from my 1960 performance conversion equipment book (by Philip H Smith), heres a an early reworked zephyr six head with long body su's fuggin' huge size here!any good? Anybody know where to get those air filters in the picture ? Cheers Craig
