I am currently rebuilding an old kawasaki GPz 550 from the 80's and the gravity feed fuel tank is all gunked up, so after rebuilding the carbs I wanted to try and get it running for the first time in 10 years.
Had a look around to find something to hold the fuel and found this in the recycling...
Drill a few holes in the base...
made a "gasket" with a rubber band and then bolt my spare fuel tap to the tub
Put a hole in the top for ventilation...
and the finished product!
refitted the carbs to the bike, filled my "tank" with fresh fuel and it ran straight away! First time in 10 years and sounds ace!!
Very very happy today!
Missed a trick though, I should of labelled it "utterly Petroly" ha ha ha
what do you think??
