my living room is along the old english style , leather settee with wooden arms , open gas fire , traditional english living room , well I needed a computer cabinet and stereo unit that woould blend in with the rest of the house. now I'm a discovery channel nut and after watching rico daniels on le salvager decided to convert a harmonium (pedal organ) to do the job I needed , well I won a unit off ebay and thought id give it a go.
won off ebay for pricely sum of £1.24.
stripped it down to find it made from rosewood and pine , screwed joints . used all the wood from the harmonium , bought some pse 3/4" square wood to make internal shelving to hold the stereo/cds/tapes.
ended up with this -
finished to to this
the top slides up to reveal the area for the laptop to sit. its oiled with danish oil . I like the rough look of it.
