So I happened to be in the delightful North Nottingham resort town of Worksop, mixing with the inteligenzia and the illuminati as is my wont. Anyway I return to my car, parked in a municipal car park and notice a piece of paper under the wiper... I check my watch, I'm a couple of minutes over due, it can't be a sodding parking ticket can it? Or perhaps some officious parking attendant has noticed that the tax disc in the window might still be last years fashion (although I do own a current road fund licence, check on line if you don't believe me) there are technical reasons - mostly my own forgetfulness which have resulted in said official disc not appearing in the screen of the car as yet. I check the screens of other cars (Focus, Picaso, etc.) parked near by and see no other car with a similar paper under the wiper. Somewhat flustered I stride back to my car and then see what the paper actually is and laugh out loud And I'm still wondering why my car was "targetted" LOL

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I know this. I just have to get me, the car and the disc in the same physical location. This is what happens when you buy your tax too early to stick it straight in the window...
