This is the only photo of the last thing I did - its not finished in the pic, I finished the drivers seat area, added more details then varnished it... It was for my nephew. He managd to snap the steerable front axle off, and I think it went in the bin.

These are great pcjoe. Really neat as i'd expect from you. I have not done owt properly with real actual solid wood since school, crappy chipboard n stuff since then. Carved a Landrover on activities week, will reach the remains out, same with My GCSE dovetail joint shelves, still in use by my mum! that was like 16 years ago. *gulp* Wood is lovely to work with well compared to metal, brick/grit, plastic. Dave, folks throw stuff away too easy these days. looked great too.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Does this count ? ;D Everything Timber in the pic was designed made and fitted by me Including the floor (The whole floor - joists, bearers, sleeper walls etc) Same in that pic.... if its Timber its my handiwork.... (Except the Grandfather clock ....and the original door, though they were all repaired and restored)

I'm not much of a woodworker either though I did make a cutaway 2 stroke engine with working crank/rod/piston in school. There's some nice looking pieces in this thread! I can't lay claim to this but this fire screen was made by my great grandfather -I have his carving chisels. The dolphins at the top relate to the family coat of arms (YA RLY!)

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Some awesome stuff there!!
The only decent thing ive ever done with wood was to make a wooden box at school. I got a A* for my first ever attempt with wood! And even when I look at it now I wish id kept going with woodwork, trouble was cars got in the way. Funnily enough anything my dad has ever done with wood has always come out really well, professional looking, trouble was, cars got in the way.............

Theres some serious talent on this thread. I was going to have a go at carving some tiki heads. Got a wierd carving in the garden that somebody did years ago we call it "wooden dog" cause it looks like erm..... a wooden dog. Think it was meant to be a horse....... ;D
