Er.... I very much applaud your candour, and couldn't help but laugh and some of your responses (RE: windscreen) that the car's problems have thrown up. So brickbats to me for my schadenfreude. I'd flatten the mofo and film it for ultimate cathartic effect. Maybe sell the lump on if its the only thing on the car that's good. Weigh it in, etc +1 ;D nearly caught me out there - god bless wikipedia "Schadenfreude - the pleasure taken from observing the misery of another"glad to be of service ;D Glen - the rat look was always the plan mate - I was even going to paint the roof box I have for it Matt black to match the car after I had bought the paint which I will now not....... The "rat look" looks great on a road going car - now that this aint going anywhere on a road without some poor sod giving his money to the thread doctor and autoglass I felt it only right to sell spares not repair!, funnily enough I have just had someone interested in the engine - you know who you are - at least I will get some pennies back at least fingers crossed - still searching for the elusive cheap runabout to last me till my next bout of rage!! anyone........

We all been there at some point or other, one house I lived in had a chunk out of the wall where the PC went for a Burton down the stairs and into said wall.
It was the best feeling ever at the time, especially when I followed it down the stairs and jumped up and down on it a few times just to make sure it knew I wasn't happy with it.
Damn bleeding silly really but at the time its the only way to solve issues... I salute you sir for letting rip, we need to do this from time to time.

I was once stripping a Mk4 'Nuthin meaner Ford Cortina' for parts with a mate when the rear window shattered unexpectantly. We then proceeded to smash and rip it to pieces over the period of 2 hours. Great fun, but did not turn a profit as there was very little left that we had not ruined. Just towed it away for scrap as was. His parents went mad though as we had ripped out the petrol tank, set fire to the fumes and the resulting 4 foot flame coming out the side set the lawn alight.

Mr transformersir I saw your car but its too darned far away - grrr I'm in hampshire untill may
Mr Pbottomley - I do understand - it was the best feeling until I realised that I now cannot get to work - not even on my bicycle as I had to sell it cos we are hard up - looks like the pounds will be falling off when I start jogging 16 miles each way - wow I will be so thin.

i had a mate who threw a very expensive laptop out of a third floor window in a rage, and another who battered his mini moto to death with a scaffold pole. as for me.. well i have a habit of throwing mobile phones at the floor, or out the car window. its good to ease a bit of tension sometimes, we're only human after all.
i'll keep my eyes peeled for some cheap (but roadworthy) wheels for you

Oh I just found out my bank stole £75 out of my account for reasons that they didn't even contact me over(there wasn't an actual reason behind it) so I just let rip, punched the wall and put a hole in it.
Sometimes we all need to just let rip....

I have nothing but sympathy for you Kev. The thing is, what you good people don't know is that Kev (a best mate to me like a brother, know him well!) is quite a patient chap. He has to be, he puts up with me. See, like a sea of calm... Still, comedy gold Kev. We'll be telling this one for years! I'm guilty too though. I had a drill once.... .....but it failed me, so I ended it! I also had a Honda Concerto... ...which got that beating for, well, being a Honda Concerto. Chris

After a vent series of unfortunate events with a lemon of a Fiat Cinquecento, I calmly took my rifle and symbolically shot it.
Several times.

I desided take a bit of frustration out on a work phone as people just woudn't stop calling. I tee'd it up on the 4th hole and swong at it with a 9 iron. My good it felt so good. I also get crazy mad sometimes but now just try and walk away without smashing something up. I've still not fixed the door since putting my hand through it though...good thing the landlord hasn't noticed it! lol Good luck with the sale, and if you can afford to do it, take a big hammer to it and then scrap it

Everyone get's a bit of rageahol now and again. Sometime's you just need to vent. I tried to fit a new letter box to my front door a few months ago. Needless to say it didn't go well and I had to explain to the Mrs when she came home why I was sulking in the bedroom and the letter box was smashed up in the front garden. Stupid letter box. hahahaha i just woke the house up laughing thankyou!

erm i know l. shaw hes a good lad tbh. He bought the car off ebay with no mot(for more than u payed for it) he mot'd it all it needed was a new windscreen which he had fitted. how are siezed bolts his fault? have u never worked on 15 year old car? because its pretty damn common especially on brakes and they don't test for siezed bolts on an MOT if the brakes passes braking test it and has good enough pads and discs it passes. So what exactly was unsafe about the discs? I know ud had a go at him before (u came on lowdown slaggin him off) about the cut springs, which it said in the advert you don't get a nice ride on cut springs especially when its that low. I know ive been in it.
What valid reasons have u got to say that lee deserves nuttin and then kicking, which i may add is pretty damn cowardly thing to do. Ill more than likely get slagged off for this post but oh well i think what your sayin is Bullplop 15 year old cars develop problems and do need maintenance. Youve had this car for what 5 months, an u blame a lose wheel on a previous owner 3 bolts don't shear unless u don't tighten em up properly and if ur tryin to say they were sheared when u bought it well it wouldnt have drove for over a mile with one wheel bolt in.

exactly
ive bought a fair few old cars in my time and ive had bolts siez snap etc. the difference being I didnt smash the car up or blame the previuose owner
all the faults that I knew of I put in the add, brakes that need replaceing 4-5 month down the line is your responcabilty, not mine, and at the time of the mot if they was givving the corrrect braking effort then why shouldnt they have passed an mot?
as for the wheels sheering then, well need I say?
end of the day, I was honest as I could have been about the car in the advert,
I don't know what to say tbh about the reaction from you when you get siezed bolts and a wheel comes off cos you didnt torque it up properly?
, I'm actually shocked
but hey
cracking motor for £200bar
And a free bump!!

Ive actually signed up here just to post in this thread.. make of that what you will. I have to admit I am genuinely fascinated by some of the accusations flying around. From the initial post made, it looks to me as if you're implying that the Lee is to blame for all the problems you encountered with this car, and that you see fit to engage in physical violence to somehow teach him a "lesson"? ( that is FAIL #1 by the way :] ) First off: You say the rear discs were in an "Unsafe" condition. Do you care to elaborate any further on this? Perhaps a photo? - You had the car for nearly half a year, Do you expect no wear & tear of any sort to occur within this period? How the hell can you be sure these were of an insufficient standard for the MOT? ( you would want to be sure of this one if youre going to cry to the police or try to bring the testing stations reputation into disrepute )
2: Your emotional outburst over sized nuts - on a P reg car might I add. Anyone who does work on their own car knows that this is to be expected. Oxyacetylene? you trying to warm up the hull on an oil tanker or something? a £4.99 brazing blowtorch from B&Q would probably warm up any stubborn nuts sufficiently to crack them off - its worked for me on way more than one occasion anyway. This is the one that clinched it for me and somehow compelled me to register here.. You decided to embark on a 400 mile round trip without ensuring your wheel studs were tight? (After having 4 new tyres on your "yukky rims" ) And even if you had of re-torqued them previous to the trip, its still your fault you failed to check them when you arrived home after hearing said "noise". The fact you can imply this is lee's fault just beggars belief. Lastly, in the final quoted sentence you mentioned that you needed another vist to the garage to warm up the remains of the studs that were left in the hubs after your "mishap", can I ask why this was required? seeing as you had recently removed all 4 wheels the chances of them seizing up enough to warrant the use of any heat is slim to none. Maybe ive misread some of your post, or maybe youre just venting your frustrations, but it seems to me as if youre unwilling to shoulder any of the blame yourself for what seems to me like nothing more than poor maintenance. .....flame away ;D

I trashed my triumph 2.5PI when I found a couple of last minute patches and then discovered I couldnt weld. That car owed me a fortune... Had a hard time explaining the lack of rear inner arch! That car sucked... no... I sucked! I do feel for you, I would be funny If I didnt know how incredibly infuriating and frustrating it feels. Id sell what you can from it, engine e.t.c.... then have it CRUSHED. I know someone with a nice baler that can cube it on film for you Youll get more for it in bits than in one piece. Count to 10... then b r e a t h e .
