Have a Snap-On top box but because of the amount of moving around I do now, I invested in a proper Flight case Top boxes are great to work out of...... I can work almost blind out of mine just by feel but they are a real pain to shift if you are on your own The Flight case is what all the WRC boys work out of Its seriously strong and takes pretty much everything I need and I can move it around easily About £170 though but worth every penny !! As for the why snap on argument.... If you can keep hold of them they are worth every penny, and it you are using them day in day out you would know why...... The fact the payment gets spread is another factor for professionals using them..... you may pay £1000 for a tool box but not all in one go ;D I have freinds with over £20K in hand tools and tool boxes alone..... but tools of the trade and used daily Sounds a lot of money till you compare it to other stuff that you use in your day job.........

I think Mark (blackpopracing) on here used to make/makes stainless steel flight cases.
I'll try and get some pics of mine. Snap On are definetley worth the money, but a cheap Top Box is is a brilliant investment anyway. So much easier to work when you can quickly grab tools as you need them rather than searching through a crappy portable box.

i've spent quite a bit on tools over the past coupls of years upgrading stuff when it breaks. i use mine every day at work so need high quality tools. one person at work bought cheap stuff and couldn't beleive it when i spent about £130 on a set of snap on lever bars, then he bought a set of cheap ones which bent!

Heres my two pennies....... The tool box is a Seally and is chock full. Its kin heavy too, I have to carry it through the house if I want to do anything serious. So I got the little box for when I'm out and about. $5 down the local re-hash centre..... This is our shed..... My poor tools have to share thier space with all the wifes "stuff", like the lawn mower, strimmer etc..... ;D

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago for just £280. Much bigger than it looked in the photos and good quality so very very heavy to lift out of the car on my own! Top box has a gas strut to open the lid. Needs a good clean up and some drawer liners but otherwise it's in good nick. It's about 1.5m high, top box lid is in line with my chin!
