new parts  then same treatment for rear bumpers, this is what it looks like after being dechromed:  the inside needed some attention as wel (ahum)  after some blasting magic:  and primed  front bumper ready  wheels completely in epoxy now

Where did you get the wheels done? I saw someone on german ebay doing them but with dish's bolted on to give them depth. Was it him. Looks amazing and even spied you in the readers ride section of Retro Car Its inspired to get my two chevettes done this year and do build threads for them  Keep this up, now pass me the welder

exhaust being metallized (or what's the English word for it?):  I've had similar manifolds done with a "Hot Zinc Spray" process - That effectively sprays zinc metal onto the surface Great thread - really enjoyed reading it from start to finish today

thanks guys! manifold is still not rusty by the way. Normally should stay that way to. so what have I been up to: - brakelines bended and mounted - fuelline in place - fitted a better looking steering wheel (mine was cracked an semi painted in epoxy...) - fitted doortrims - tried to fit the exhaust but it touches the underside of the car so will have to figure that out - started on filling and sanding the wheels

thanks. have to say it's not perfect though.. there's some minor things that could have been better but that's because I know where to look hehe
but overall I'm very pleased for my first restored car!

What's making you want to get someone else to finish off the headlining? Looks fine in the pictures, like everything else.

it looks fine yes, but that's the easy part done, the difficult parts is the overlap, and the C pillars etc... difficult to get it glued on without any wrinkles... but anyway, update! the brake cylinder i revised wasn't good after all so had to buy a new one after all...   all electrics working so mounted the dash  head liner in place    new door seals and new windowseals for the side windows (hinged ones)  to bad just found out today I had to drill 3 holes in de C pillar to mount the hinge... and since the hinge itself was looking pretty bad to, took the whole thing apart  new seals  and the bolt de rusted and repaint  Is this the correct way to mount the chrome things?   fitted the front bumper, and sealed the fenders   also renewing this:  cleaned the battery and opel'ised it  and something strange, these two cables are left over? Got them on both sides but all is working so what are those?
