I don't know if there's a rule againt this as I'm surprised I've not seen any on here before, if so feel free to delete and hurl abuse, etc. If it's OK though, this is what I do when I'm not arsing around with cars... I played guitar/bass from 1977 up until 2004, so there are hundreds of dodgy live cassettes cluttering up my spare room, plus somewhere in my CD cabinet is a three-track CD-R recorded in 1999 by a band who'd just been signed when I joined (only a weeny little indie label based in Kent, it transpired they'd actually turned down a development deal with Sony to sign, which is why the old bass player, quite rightly, walked.....).
If anyone's interested, it was an utterly horrid collision between late Verve and Ocean Colour Scene. Plodding pretentious Dad-rock. I never listen to it now.
No-one ever heard of us, we sank without trace, and that's why I'm sat here instead of being spoon-fed drugs and alcohol by a brace of buxom wenches on a beach in Mustique. Or being dead on a toilet. Or being asphyxiated whilst w**king with a bag on my head tied to a door. Or something.

Here's what happens when you give three drunken chods the keys to a studio, and let them at the equipment to do a live recording..... The words were mostly cobbled together on the fly, no one could follow what the other was doing, and the lead singer was tripping off something or other, I forget, it might have been GHB. Drummer (someone - me) had had about 8 pints and was not in a good way. Guitarist had done a 16 hour shift and had some tequila. We ended collapsing in a heap in the live room, staying the night and leaving the Mackie running. I later compiled these erm, 'songs' from the 11 hours of utter session gibberish we had left on there. Remember, if this was the best of the 11 hours, imagine what the rest was like...... I was bassist in a band a couple of years ago. Unfortunately when it came down to it it was cars or band for me, obviously cars won....
....the guys I played with are now pretty big in the local scene and starting to earn come money off it.
Hey ho, you win some you lose some! I get more satisfaction from building cars and just mucking around with guitars when i feel like it.
