nor do i, but there might be a convoy from your area. if there is one from kent then i'd probably join in on it. I quite fancy the idea of meeting the europeans that may be coming in from Dover, then driving over... going up to the m25, then onto the m3 so maybe a meeting could be set up on clacket lane services? I can join you on the m25 at j3 swanley or at clackets

Actually, looks like it'll be considerably more than 290 miles to get there, as I'll have to head east and join a convoy!!!

Cant believe anyone can whinge about any distance in the UK, you can get from one end to the other in less than 12 hours, course its more pleasant to do it in an old Merc I guess but I pay for my comfort at 20mpg! We're British FFS ;D Whinging is a way of life! Personally I'm not whinging about the distance really, just wondering what the hell I'm gonna have on the road by then, cos I really don't want to resort to the daily, but if needs must...

About 184 miles each way for me, not bad at all. Couple of possibly stupid/too early questions though: How much to get in and camp? And MUCH more importantly, do we get to take our cars around the track? Looking forward to it though, should be great to meet a few people and see lots of great cars.

this post is for the people who say they don't know anyone else. don't WORRY ABOUT IT!!!! you may go shy, I know I did. alls you have to do is to head over to a group of folks, intimidating I know, theres usually more than one group, say hello, introduce yourself and the rest will just happen. beer will flow, and the chat will follow. then you'll know people. alternatively, if your a bit shy someone may wander over and start talking drunken jibberish at you (that'll be johnny somersett ;D ) and invite you over. easy peasy.

i love it when mainlanders complain about distance!! its a thousand miles and a ferry trip for me. I can do the midlands (leicestershire) with a 12am derry and arriving at 4pm, so this will actually require an entire day of just driving and being absolutely melted afterwards.
if someone would be so kind as to have sleeping bags and pizza ready for me and groupies. thanks.
