more details on the seicento xe! and looking good did the manta crossmember bolt straight up? had a read through and didnt see what rear axle your using? Looks great though I need to do some TLC to mine the seicento is just for a bit off crack was gonna put a v6 in it but it wouldnt even fit in the bay and i have already done some serious chopping at it to get the xe in the xe is in and running and i have shafts but havent had time to get it finished (by finished i mean shafts/mot) its a 2.0 manta axel in a viva with an adjustable panhard rod quite a lot of engineering going in to it but this gave me the option of bigger brakes bigger diff/ lsd but most important 4x100 wheels ;D ;D no the manta front cross member didnt bolt straight up i had to modify the steering /anti roll bar /rear front crossmember mounts and the coil overs as you can see a viva doent have turrets for shocks so the bottom arms/wishbones have to be strenthend to take the coil overs inside where the manta spring would normally sit i wish i had a lot more pics for you guys

It seems nothing's going to stay original for long in your hands. Good work! Is the Manta axle the same width?

Fantastic build, got any updates? I'm intrested in your set up your using for the front and rear, especially to get 4 x100 Whats involved in mounting thge manta axle and when you fitted the front subframe, did you just redrill the chassis to suit the mata holes and how did you mount the anti roll bar. Cant wait to see this finished, keep up the crazy projects

:excited::excited: as promised heres a few pics (not the best quality but you will get the idea ) i left the house around 9 o clock this morning it was pretty slippy with the snow ect so i took a lend off the mrs vxr zafira (250 bhp in the snow and 2 ton to drag isnt the easiest ):scratchchin: took me nearly 45 min to get 15 miles:wtf: so first off i started looking at the work thats been done new anti roll bar brakets which were slavaged by me and my brother from his mk1 cavalier hatch back . This pic was taken from inside the engine bay the new lower subframe mounts dave had to drill new holes in the chassis legs sleeve them and weld on new supporting strengthing peices so next i started to remove the front end starting with anti roll bar jacked up and wheels off i started taking out the bolts that hold in the front end and here you can see the coil overs and some off the mods that had to be made to get them in there along with the new anti roll bar supports which are custom made because they mount in the viva slightly higher than they would in a mk1 cav on the axel stands ready for stripping (i forgot my air gun) next was a job thats been bugging me since i bought it the skuttle panel has quite a few surface scratches/rust effect on it and it makes the car look quite keek so when i was leaving for home i unscrewed it and its acctually quite clean in behind there;) so when i got home i got stuck in first i removed all the old water sealing sponge you can see how bad it is here in these pics so i set to it with a 80 grit flap wheel it acctually cleaned up ok stuck some primer on it cause it was getting dark and cold still a few things up for debate tho what colour do i paint the running gear / sub frames (open to suggestions ) what colour of polybushes to go for also i need a universial joint for my steering rack as it is a wee bit notchy as the manta rack is wider than the viva and its sitting at a bit off a weird angle thats all for today

Good stuff, bet it was nice and warm in there today! You should see the state of my scuttle panel - the few bits of metal that were present are being held together with large amounts of fibreglass, it really is a sculptural masterpiece - yours is in great condition somehow!

here is a picture of a standard viva (not mine) from under the back you can see the petrol tank goes up threw the boot floor and inside the boot it acctually is the floor (you would acctually set your shopping on top off it underneath so here is my petrol tank out off the car its only held in with a sealing strip and a few self tappers lol its covered in some very thick underseal so after a few hours off scraping and p80 flap wheel here what i was left with so after i cleaned up all the keek that was on the floor i stuck a coat off primer on it and then a quick coat off siver paint i hope this is going to look well underneath the car when its done
