As a few of you know, I picked up this little beast a few months back and stashed it in a barn. Got up to where it was yesterday and took the chance to measure-up and, of course, take some pics...which now I shall share: 1982 Datsun Urvan Camper - codename: BumLeeker      Needs a new interior putting in but plenty of scope there   Check out the MotherFunking cab interior!   Obligatory pic with now obligatory traveller hat - got any scrap mush?  And the 2ltr lump that powers the whole heap - conveniently under the seat  Needs an MOT but from what I can tell it just needs the brakes sorting and rear lights wired up. Dunno how many miles its done LOL and I know at some point in its life it was in Poland. Around 7 Urvan campers exist in the country according to DVLA Plan is to kit it out with a new interior, paint the outside (gotta be a brush job methinks), MOT it and then start using it! |

That's a really nice project! Loads of scope for creativity with that interior!  Externally it's pretty funky already I think, possibly some funk graffiti work on the sides to set you apart from the silvertops or something? Pretty darn cool vehicle whichever way you cut it  |

Yeh, it's gonna be fun. The lady is gonna help with this one so there's gonna be some input from her as i was only 'allowed' it if she could be part of doing it up. She's got great taste though so should be okay. Gonna keep the interior nice & simple but quite cool at the same time.
Paint-wise, she's already said no to graffiti BUT ive got some tricks up my sleeve and it will definatly not be mistake for a granny-wagon
Whatever happens, 200 quid aint a bad chance to take!

thats a nice ride , its got a rack on the back for a motor bike .that gauge on the dash looks like a boost gauge  , that engine would sound sweet with twin 40 ;D |

Its deffo gonna get put on some rims, no idea what ones yet though, and pretty much nothing decided on the paint job - was thinking massive rising sun maybe...but i dunno
No1 priority is to get it usable
