Hi Finlay if you look back through the thread there are some pics of how I did the arches, they are rivetted and then fibreglassed to the body and then blended in. Cheers mate, getting there, don't know how it drives yet as all the little bits and pieces are still getting done (electrics, plumbing etc..) I'm fairly certain its going to be an absolute animal though!! Glad yours is getting there dude! Yeah, in my case its 1 step forwards and 2 steps back, it suddenly dawned on me that I forgot to oil the crankshaft oil seal, so had to re-split the engine and gearbox which is abit of a curse word to do as its so heavy! I'm more than sure that this will be an animal! Best of luck with it, catch up soon.

Ok, so rad in, intercooler in, all the front panel modded to take the new intake pipes, ECU bolted up and igniter all bolted in and wired up. Probably 60% wiring done.. Slow but sure! Bonnet now shuts as I modded the inner frame so its nice and snug! Matrix pipes sorted, fuel tank back in.... My internet is bust so cant upload new pic just yet. Cheers! (and thanks to Roy and Tim for help with electrics!)

Just read the whole thread - absolutely fantastic work! This car is really cool, and the Nissan lump just makes it that little bit cooler still. I see you're doing most of the work outside too - I feel your pain! I have a similar situation! ;D Looking forward to a video of it firing up!

Just sorted my fuel lines, they'll be with me tomorro, insurers are very reasonable too, just got off the phone, very relieved - I was having palpatations when I was on hold that I'd never be able to drive it again due to some silly insurance premium - but all good Tonights work - hopefully have pump and filter bolted in place and the fuse box under dash secured and wiring hidden away.... I shall update as to my success

Hooked battery up this morning just to see how I'd done elcetrically, I was somewhat apprehensive (read cacking myself) and kept checking for smoke and hot things - all seemed well, SX clock on! Warning lights came on, flicked the key and she turned over!! Yeah baby.... Hopefully sort out fuel pump wires tonight and see if I can get her running...

do yourself a massive favour and ditch the dumpvalve, will give you loads of running problems. the turbo chatter is enough to make you wet yourself anyway

Just got the anti roll bar back on with my new TCA poly bushes, moved it over on the drive so I can get in the drivers footwell and put the pedal box back in. All systems go! don't know what to do about an exhaust at the moment though! I think I can butcher my cherry bomb into a side exit which - obviously - would be very cool, but I think it might be too loud for using it every day. I might wait till I havesorted everything else, tow it to my welding mates house, give him my ashely middle and back box and get him to link them all up..

Alright Nizzer, what will the dump valve cause in terms of bad running? Oh and how long are these bad boys supposed to rev at 2000rpm from cold as it doesnt seem to want to drop but I only had it running 5 minutes due to the noise

because it runs an afm there is a metered amount of air in the interooler and piping, when you back off the d/v releases the air but the ecu still fuels for that amount of air that has just been released. so when you get back on the throttle theres loads of fuel and no air leaving you with a massive flat spot and then a big pop and flame and off you go again. Very annoying if your trying to get through the gears a bit quick while embarrasing a poncy porsche A lot also boost leak and generally cause bad running like idling high mine always idles around 1700rpm for quite a while its normal to be on choke for a long time but just make sure you have no leaks in your i/c piping or vacuum lines.

Absolutely brilliant mate, love it! Plans for the Cherry Bomb sound cool, but like you say, might be a bit impractical every day.

Managed to get the pedal box and steering column back on today, finished the electrics, fitted the clutch master cylinder and made a copper hydraulic pipe bled the system etc.. I have a clutch!! The Capri officially moved under the power of Nissan today! Unfortunately not sorted the accelerator pedal yet so it only moved a bit but it still moved!
