i had a properly jetted dgas on my capper with a ported and polished head and lightened flywheel and a cam similar to an fr32 i removed the auto choke and the choke flaps and it was my daily all you need to do is warm it up a little bit i did this by giving it lots of beans all the way down my road then it would be fine lol i used to get 34 on a run or 28 round town but i could get it down to eight if i was hcking round lanes  |

so it was alright startin without a choke? Coz to be honest my auto choke is pissin me off, it doesn't seem to know what to do and is a bit up and down then it'll be runnin fine and then just cut out. So you had no choke at all? How hard was it to actually start it when cold?

it would always start but as it catches you have to up the revs a bit with your foot or ittl die again ... but just keep the revs up for the first couple of mins and you will be fine ..
oh and drain all the water out and refil with the correct amount of anti freeze ... lol your coolant should not freeze .... .

I know mate, when I was getting the engine started for the first time in August last year I simply filled it with tap water in order to get it going and I completely forgot about it. Its only in this freezing weather and since I hadnt started it for 2 weeks due to the electrical problem that I remembered! Doh  |

Saw this the other day looks so mean, the stance is amazing, but it will look abit prettier with the lights in! Keep up the great work, and get that MOT! I'd bin the stickers in the back windows  Did you use a Matt and lacquer to protect it from fingerprints etc? What do you think is preventing you from getting it running, is it producing a healthy spark and is it fuelling correctly? |
