I've realised that it was 10 years ago when the engine went in which means the cambelt need changing! Time flies.
I've been loving having this on the road again and the new battery allows me to leave it for a few weeks without it going flat which is perfect for the way I'm using it.
It's just so much fun to drive. I'll be back at work next week and I'll try and use it when we have some dry weather. Although the belt needs changing ASAP so that'll be the next job alongside fitting the bonnet script.

I don't know how I managed to miss this, but it's extremely cool. It must be a hoot to drive.

It doesn't stop or go around corners as well as it should but it's part of the charm 😂 I'm looking forward to using it for my commute whenever the weather allows 😎

Charged the battery up last week and managed to find some time to take her out yesterday. Had a flat tyre for some reason but pumped it up and it's held air. I think the valve is faulty. It wasn't holding boost when I first drove it but I popped the bonnet and found a loose vac pipe. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive and will be heading out next week, too. Also - it needs better brakes!

What the MFP would use for pursuit specials in England. Love it.

Hi guys - I've had a little go of making a 'ride along' style vid in the Capri. If any of you guys would mind taking a look and giving me some feedback I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers guys

Spent a few days clearing and organising the workshop and garage. Added lighting and electrical sockets. Not finished yet but it was lashing down last night and I wanted to see how cosy it felt in there so went in with a brew. Cosy it is! Gonna be great having a better space to spanner and will probably motivate me to get in there more often

So I decided to change the front tyres. Loads of tread left but since I raised the front a little the fronts have looked a little lost in the arches. I went for a 225 50 15 instead of the 215 45 15s for added chonk

I'm also fitting a bonnet vent to get some of the turbo related heat out from the engine bay. Found this one and I think it's going to look absolutely badass

MoT booked for next week so I managed to find some time to fettle today. I cleaned the underside including the struts, brake calipers, tank and lines, and brake lines. I also adjusted the handbrake and fixed the sidelights and an indicator. Adjusted the washer jets and checked everything over. I then decided to have a go of fitting the rubber tyre writing I bought. Used some black rubber cement/superglue. It was pretty difficult to keep it neat but a tidy up with sandpaper seems to be doing the job. They look ace:

Also, seeing as I was getting it ready for it's Mot, and had about 40 minutes left before I had to pick the kids up, I decided to cut a whacking great hole in the bonnet
