I'd charged the battery but it was still goosed so I need a new one. It was still running the original pinto battery that was only designed to run very basic electrics so I'm going to upgrade to a 200sx spec one with much higher CCA - I think they're around 550 as opposed to the 300 odd it has. Any suggestions for a tougher battery with bolt through posts? I also realised I need a foglight but from what I can see, that's all it's gonna need bar a service. Ordered an oil filter so I just need oil, a fog light, and a relay for the fan control. I'm going to spend a morning buffing the wheels back as they always go manky when I leave it but polish up well. I should've laquered them all those years ago really but never mind! I think uber shiny wheels will compliment the faded paint well.

These are the specs of an S13 battery but I'd rather not change my cable ends so I'm looking for a battery that's close to these specs but has bolt through terminals. Any suggestions appreciated! I'll continue my Googlage for now! 😂

It's funny - the plates have never been mentioned by mot testers. I have got white and yellow ones but they look so pants they make me do a sick in my mouth. 🤮
I've ordered :
70a 550CCA battery Conversion clamps Oil filter
I need a fog light, oil, and a fan relay. I just can't remember the grade I used so I'd best look through the thread to see. I know I had a few issues with some recommended grades (too thin).
Excitement building 😎

My mate was right - you can't buy patina like this! He’s right - it’s spot on! Loving the stripes against the older paint...works so well. It’s kinda like the look I wanted to do with mine before I got it painted, but didn’t have the balls to follow through on I’ve never bought a new battery for my Capri...I just slap whatever battery I have lying around!

sarkie83 cheers mate! Yeah I'm made up with how it's turned out - hoping it doesn't fade away too fast. I just checked - it's still there! I would do the same but I've only got a little mx5 one at the moment and I figured I may as well get one that matches the car's needs so long after building it 😂

Bagged a dream badge set! I've loved these for years and years and never managed to find a cheap enough set. Until I spotted these! They're going on the boot but I don't want to drill holes for the pins. I was going to grind them off and stick them on with double sided tape but they're heavy - don't make them like this any more! Any suggestions to stick them on? I don't want to use something thick that'll be visible from the side but I don't want to lose them as I'll be very, very sad 😂 I could just Tiger Seal them but then I wouldn't be able to remove them the next time I want to paint it.

Number plate tape trimmed to size/shape Numberplate stickies are quite thick though so they'd stick out off the surface a bit. Unless you mean something else?

Magnets inside the boot lid? Haha - thinking outside the box - I like it! I think I'll just go on the hunt for thin but very strong double sided tape. Must be some about! I'll check amazon reviews and find something. Don't want to lose these bad boys - 14 year old me would be all of a quiver if he saw them

I know you don't want to drill the boot but it's the best way, if you change your mind it's easy to fix abd you're not altering the badges.
It's great to see an update on this

It's great to see an update on this I guess so - I can't imagine drilling the holes accurately would be very easy though! One slightly wrong and it'll look all skewiff!

Some late night Googling had me researching the next 'stage' of tune for my CA. I vowed that the next time I returned to the strip I'd come with either more power or more grip. It was the 60' time - and therefore launches - that were hurting my times most so it was clearly grip that needed uprating..... So I bought a Z32 AFM 😂 All I need now for circa 330bhp are some 444cc injectors from a GTiR (SR20DET engine) or Skyline (RB26DETT engine) and a Stage 3 HD chip. I got the AFM for a bargain but the injectors are really expensive and the chip is a ton 50 so I'm going to slowly build the parts over the next few months. No rush! Circa 280bhp is more than enough in this. Only a nutter would want to increase it 😂
