I need something that I can play with for a year or 2, rather than buy and fix and sell.
Budget however is limited. Probably £750ish.
I'd like something thats solid and has an MOT, but I'd consider something that needs a bit of work, but not a full resto.
I've had loads of Beetles, but I'm not going to pick anything up worth buying for that sort of cash. don't mind stuff thats been *******ised and chopped around, just want something fun that I can tinker with that doesnt matter if I have it in piles of bits on the front garden, as the daily car will still be there.
Pre-73, as anything newer = expensive tax, which would cost more than insurance and mot costs.
Any suggestions/links to ebay cars/autotrader etc?
It'll only do <3K miles a year, so not hung up on tiny engines etc.
Parts need to be reasonably easy to get, or adapt to fit.
What can you think of?
Oh and I don't like Minis. Which is fine as they are a long way out of budget.
The uglier/cooler the better.
