So exited! have been craving one of these ever since I sold my first (near mint) one around 8 years ago. As you can see this one's far from mint, but the frame's there (the most important bit to me, the mk 1 frame is just that much nicer then the mk 2), and I've got a few toys under the house to fit, including a 5spd SA hub  Really looking forward to building this up, don't pick it up until end of Jan. in the meantime, anyone got any pics of really cool Mk1 Choppers?  |

Na do love em tho. i know what you mean, the mk1 does looks quite hard. ive recently got my first mk2 but its going to be a big project as the crank is seized solid along with the headset

Just wondering, if somebody had a mk1 chopper that had been sitting in a garage for 30 years (everything is there and you can ride it, but it needs restoring) how much would it be worth...

depends what version it is dude, there is so many variables involved. but on the positive side of a ton i would have thought

There were a couple of choppers in the basement of a bike shop i used to work in about 10 years ago, a purple one with orange decals and a silver one with alloy mag wheels, i think the one with the mags had drum brakes aswell. Me and another lad in there used to race them round the basement, really heavy for what they are.

back when i sold my old on they were worth around $500 over here in Aus, mine was re-badged (Malvern Star brought them over as their own) so wasnt worth quite as much. great little bikes to ride, will fill out my dragster collection perfectly (2 Hustler Custom SS's, 1 extra long frame Myer Speed dragster (22" frame  ) and the mk 1 chop) |
