Is this the month of garage finds or what?
That CROWN coupe, the drag Capri and 610 pickup, and now this!
Epic corrosion of the bonnet there. Did someone want a 'Cuda perhaps? Bonnet vents seem to suggest it. Sill stripe is also excellent, but much closer to the Ford muscle idiom
Was that a spare engine in the garage or the one pulled from the car? My B20 engine rescued from Wakefield looks like that. Crank pulley is seized solid and won't turn over. I wouldn't want to diagnose a fault on a Wankel, let alone one that's seized.
It looks like it had an interesting life before being stashed - it has a very 70's mild custom look with the slotmags.
Has there been an issue of Autocar on the bonnet at some point? Keep the stickers on the windscreen!

Yeah he said he wanted to make it look like a mustang!
The motor is a spare 10a, the car has a 13b fitted - no pics yet sorry.
Storing a pile of old magazines and sacks on the bonnet led to the horrendous corrosion at the front. The corner of the bumped snapped off when I barely touched it!

Wonderful! Gives us all hope that theres still gems out there waiting to be discovered. Anyone remember that white 818 estate in Balbys yard a couple of years ago? Love to know what happened to that.

I remember that! It's great to see cars emerging from lock-ups having survived the "Classics Crunch" during the Beijing build-a-thon. I suppose everything is saveable, it just depents how much metalwork you're prepared to throw at it!

Nice!
Helluva mission to get that one back on the streets, (should you chose to accept it.) Good luck!

With a bocephus sticker on his 442, he'd light 'em up just for fun

Thanks. Will try my best to save her! There's only one other 4 dr about that I know of, so will be worth the effort I reckon.

Nice find indeed! I prefer the 4 door one, not too fond of the fibreglass bonnet additions, but it looks like that panel could be past it somewhat anyway!
If the chassis is good I'm sure it won't be impossible to get panels, reckon you'll need to look overseas though. Good luck!
