I did the opposite and have achieved a one dayer !!!! take one cheap and cheerful but totally gutless monkeybike... get it in the kitchen whilst the OH is stuck at work running a santa's grotto... place a guard on sentry duty just incase she gets an early finish. first stop lose the dodgy chinese nobbly tyres and put some nice heidenau on instead.. that'll be better for the road..... then the engine..... 49cc of pure power (lol) on the left... somewhat more on the right... that'll do nicely ! right then just the number plate to bash on and its ready for a quick roadtest (can run without lights on daylight MOT but it will have lights eventually) went out for a quick spin and its positively lethal lol... could be something to do with the fact EVERYWHERE is covered in ice though..

I like that. What barrel is now fitted to the engine?

its only a baby 72cc. I got the 120 dax for long distance riding and scaring myself stupid..
nice one datman ! (your Fergs mate aint ya?)
built it as an "old school" monkey.. 8 inch wheels... 72cc (which was the ace bore up once) just got to sort the lights and stuff out now and then I can start commuting on it..
rebuilding the dax motor at the moment as it spat its dummy out and ate the engine cases.. (serves me right for riding it flat out everywhere for 3 years lol)

i find the 72cc engines go better than 90's although then you have the option of a bore up to things like 120/125 which is the way I'm going with my c200

hey Dude!! that a cub90 motor in that then?? ran a cub90 with the ss50 4 speed in and that was great fun but not quick enough lol.. eventually had the dax out to 152cc based on a zongshen bottom end which was clocked at over 85mph so that was more like it and was what I used for the long distance journeys like picking motors and stuff up or anything over 150 miles as it was quicker than using a car...

a small modification to a friends honda monkey that shifter's amazing! Datman- met you a few years back at the Cornwall Monkey Bike show at the aptly named Monkey tree holiday park! You came down in your Plymouth Fury drop top... I ran my Jincheng M50 for nearly 2 years - when i finally bored it up to 72cc & 20mm carb i couldn't believe the power! I was giggling like a sch0olgirl!! I do like a 72 kit - monkey bikes have kinda lost their appeal a bit over the last few years - everyone's quest for ever faster bikes & massive money being poured into some bikes (not your's nick!) I waiting for the day that things have gone full circle & we see a return to sub 90cc bikes & 8" wheels... Infact i think it's already happening.

In like an off white colour... Your back light fell of when you were hooning back up the farm lane! ;D
