My first car was Honda Civic - S in black. The Civic - S was basically a CRX with a different body shell if I remember right. I think the CRX came as a cosmetic development of the S. Anyway, I am sure some one knows the history inside out .. it just reminds me of my first car and makes sick to think I accidently killed it trying to do some DIY work on it ( the annoying fact is I now know that I hadn't even really hurt it at all - I just thought I had cos I was young and stupid and broke!) It sat outside my house until some kids persuaded me to let them take it away for me .... AAARGHH!!! DOH!!! That was in Southampton ... I wonder if it's still around somewhere?

Hi folks thanks for all the positive comments, they provide much encouragement ;D Ok time for an update. So i said before i had sent back the front struts to be cut down, and today they were delivered back to me. So straight after work i was out in the garage to get them on and test it out. As you will see it is sitting a fair bit lower now, and there is plenty of adjustment left on the coilovers to go up...or downAs i half expected, it rubs on corners and roundabouts, and i damaged it a bit pulling off the main road back at home. The pavement is quite steep and i think the tyre grabbed the arch on the way in. So this weekend i need to dial up the springs a few turns, experiment with the damper adjust (its on full soft at the mo), and head down to BiAS for a spot of arch rolling diy style. @ bigelboe hey man thanks for the post and the links, i'll be heading over to check out your NZ forum soon.

I was going to say those struts looked wayyyyy too long but I didn't want to because I assumed you payed a fair amount for them The strut bodies on my car are about 300mm long above the pinch fitting and I am considering going down to around 270mm as this will give me about 70mm ground clearence on the front crossmember. As for the guards if you take them off, and get at the inside of them with a bit of wood behind them you can fold up that lip really nicely with a panel hammer. If you get it nice and warm with a heat gun first you might even save the paint. I am also going to do a run of adjustable strut tops for 2nd gens at some stage too if you are interested. Will be making traction bars and stuff as well.

it looks best IMO in the pic of speedmans, there's just something about those steels and trim rings! but you cant keep those when you're going for more power, so a necessary evil i guess

Top ride! Love the front end (black trim) & light tint treated - looks good with the red paint Would the 14" version of the BMW wheels fit over your new brakes? With 195 x 45 tyres might be the answer to your rubbing woes?? P.S; shame you had to sell the Teg - been regretting the sale of mine for the past 3 years since it went Awsome cars!

When you have to replace your frt disc rotors you might want to check out the 2nd-3rd gen Accord or Prelude items.. they may have greater offset to eliminate or reduce your caliper spacers...
I was going to check the fully dimensioned rotor catalogue PBR brakes used to have availible from their website for downloading ... but can't find it anymore...

Nice Car. Not seen one of these older civics on the road for some time. You have done a very tasteful job on the upgrades too. Nicely done.

I think 1st gen integra ones or something are the ones he needs, I have had them on my car at one stage. I just found them by trying different ones from the pick-your-own car yard.
