Look, I know I said I'd keep it, and god damn, I want to, but something has happened. I've been offered a job on Performance Ford which I'm taking, without hesitation. The only problem is that this means moving to Kent, which isn't cheap. I'm so sorry to all you guys who, like me, wanted to see it finished, but I'm afraid things like food and fuel are a priority now. I'm gutted, but no one seems to be interested in buying my Galant, so this is up for sale too. If, however, the Galant sells then I'll keep this. So, the car. It's a 1980 MK1 Sapporo GSL 2.0 Auto. It's covered 42k in 28 years, with mot's to prove it, and it's rock solid. Possibly one of the most solid ones out there in terms of age. It's never been welded or repaired, although doors and the rear valance will need doing. It's also complete. I have a new windscreen for it (as the current one is smashed) and also a new set of wing mirriors. Be warned though, it is currently in kit form, the front end has been stripped right down in preperation for the paint job it was going to have. The wings have been repaired by my dad too, so they're good to back on. They're in Northamptonshire at the moment though, but I'll courier them out to you if needs be. It's a solid, original and rare car which could be on the road with very little work. I know I'd make a mint if I broke it, but I'm not going to as I want to see it back on the road. As for what I'm after, I don't know. Is £200 too much? I think that's bloody cheap tbh. Anyway, with a heavy heart...here are some pictures.... And no, Cokebottle, I won't sell it to you....

Gah! You score an excellent free Sapporo, half-dismantle it then within a matter of weeks its advertised on here for £200. YOU SHOULD BE BANNED OUTRIGHT FROM OWNING RARE AND INTERESTING CARS! PS to any interested parties, my view is that this car is worth £200 alright, but the fact is that you could have had it for free a few weeks ago and it was all up + together then, you could have probably had it MOT'd and usable with a couple of days of tinkering with the brakes if RFCrisps had not carried out his good work

It's a long way off an MOT, so until you lay thy eyes on it, keep such thoughts to yourself. And as for "could've had it", well, yeah, they could....I remember fighting through the crowds of people to get my hands on it . And yeah, it would have been free to them also, but would the wings have been repaired for free? Would the windscreen be replaced for free? Would the battery be replaced for free? Would the service kit have been obtained for free? Would the new wing mirrors be free? Would the new drivers door glass which doesn't have "curse word* scratched into it be free? And yeah, it's stripped. I'd like to see anyone do a decent job of repairing the front wings with them on. And the rear valance is the same again; good luck repairing what needs to be done with the lights and bumper in situ. As stated, if the Galant goes, this stays. I don't want to part with it.

The parts are in my ex wifes garage, but I'd see that they were all together on collection. It's just the wings really, but like I said, I'd courier them, or drop them off. And Akku...what?

Also i'd see the fact that it was stripped down already a time saving excercise if you want to do serious work on the inner wings and the like. Go have some horlicks and chillax dude.

Arent you forgetting the cost of transporting it up from where it used to reside!! ( which was no change out of a ton as trailer and bloke had to be hired etc etc )
I think £200 is a bloody bargain. so keep your negative vibes to yourselves!

£200 is a very good price, never ask how much the seller bought the car for, just how much its for sale for now.
Thats my motto, anyway.
