Minx became Hunter became Peykan The 'Arrow' Minx was a basic version of the Hunter... it had the 1,496cc iron head engine (1,725cc in autos, and optional in manuals from late '68). The Minx name was the dropped in 1970 and the same spec car became the Hunter DL. (Above info from 'Cars Of The Rootes Group, by Graham Robson) Just to add to further confuse Mr Somersett... The Minx became available in Jan '67, a few months after the release of the Hunter which was in showrooms in October '66. Povo spec FTW! etc.

Just to really screw with your head, the Peykan, which as we have established used the arrow series Hunter body, was fitted with the Avenger engine. This was then fitted to the 405RD once the Hunter shaped Peykan was superceded.

Povo spec FTW! etc. And to make matters worse, the first Hunters were indentical to what we know as the Minx with round headlights etc. I had a '66 in Linwood Green ;D
