I actually bought this in 2007 through a very good friend of mine , based on several photographs and whist it was on it's way across the water from the USA A pretty crazy thing to do I have to say but I got a bit carried away with the colour and the fantastic looking interior . I was quite relieved when it actually arrived and things were looking pretty good and handed over the rest of the money apart from the somewhat unattractive front I think the rest of it is quite superb especially since I removed some rather old stuck on purple window tint to reveal the factory green tinted windows which was a big bonus after hours and hours of peeling off the old stuff the downside to the purchase was the MOT 2 full sheets off failures , thankfully all mecanical stuff and no welding at all , so it got new brake master cylinder , discs , calipers & pads , rear shoes & cylinders , parking brake cable , rear shockers , exhaust lighting conversion to UK spec , alternator and an engine service OUCH !!!!!! it is an original 85K miles from new unmessed with example will post a few more pics later

had a cuppa so here's a few more pics this was how it arrived , complete with a roll of gaffer tape decided I could do a little bit better and fitted a new CD unit and also retained the original 8 track stereo another couple of shots just to show how nice the interior is

Wow! Is that Bryn's former car or am I having a monday morning mental meltdown? yes Bryn bought it in the USA and he shipped it to my front door well via a lot of water and a couple of docks he sent the pics to Ivan , Ivan forwarded them straight to me 2 phone calls later it was mine this is it a few hours after it landed in Stockport and the start of a serious dent in my bank account I went the whole hog with new parts as my grandson would be travelling in the van and his safety came first

Ernie This is the one that I let get away... I love this van, my only consolation being that I got to cruise it in America and run it up the strip. Deep into the 19s I sealed the deal with Jim who I bought it from with some Moonshine, Ol Yeller as they used to call it had seen them travel from their Ohio base to Canada and Mexico amongst others. Mothballed for most of the year, it was replaced a long time ago and put into proper storage. Like Ernie says the interior is amazing, factory bucket seats with the coolest material. And the green tint windows... Argh. Why did I sell it? Given the garage full of unroadworthy stuff I have at the moment I wonder at my motives sometimes, turning this sort of example up was pure luck...

Awesome van! One day I'll have enough to buy one just like it, but there won't be one to buy.
