No tax or MOT, scrap money.
If it looks a reasonable condition, I think £100-150 is a more than fair price.

i agree about the scrap valuation but i have phoned my local scrap dealers and asked what i would get for it and the highest price i got was £45 it looks like scrap value has dropped

Yeah it has. The olympics meant that all the docks filled with scrap, and the because the exporters were full to capacity, they could name their price.
Or at least that's what I was told when I got £8.50 for my old polo engine!
Would be interested to see this though

That is the 5 door hatch we got in Oz, we also got the sedan. Pity we didn't get the 3 door hatch. They were known as the Nissan Pulsar & Holden Astra. The engines we got were E13 (not many), E15 & E15ET. In '86 came the E16. We also got the 2 door EXA.

Yes, sad to say there was a Holden N12. They where known as LB ('83-'84) or LC ('85-'86) Holden Astra's. The Astra's are the same as the Cherry's (headlights, grill, bars, etc) whereas the Pulsar was more J spec. The Astra only came as a 5-door hatch. The Pulsar came as a 5-door hatch & 4-door sedan & 2-door EXA coupe.
