Bought from Festerfly on this very forum a few weeks ago. We finally managed to collect the bike last Friday - and i can confirm that it fits in a bay window bus! lol Having put all the carb together and the few missing panels it was once again a complete bike. Its not running quite right, but hopefully i'll find time to fettle with it today. And take some decent pics .... Fish and I were having a play with it yesterday afternoon - visit www.retrocustom.com and click on the blog and you'll see a video too

Glad you got it built back up. surprised about the not runnig right though? Did you give it anther go with teh carb cleaner and stuff? I had it running right before i left it for a month or so and thats when it started being a bit funny, but thats why i removed the carb to clean it out etc.. Keep us posted on the progress!

do I spy a razoredge in the background? yes indeed, well spotted Festerfly - the carb was cleaned thru, and since then ive set it all up again. It runs pretty well now - its not bang on but its good enough for the minute. The air slide seems to be sticking slightly from time to time. Just need to sort the insurance now and see how she gets on at a MoT test! Then it'll be ridden .... while i hatch some plans

started to make some plans for the beast today. Really started thinking about what to do with it - cafe racer, motox/trials .... or flat tracker (good suggestion Dom) So ... having checked some pics .... Heres how it looks now and i whipped off the front guard to get a better idea of how it might look/what i could do if I'm to flat track it i need to play with the aesthetics of the front end, and at the rear fab a new seat and rear guard. What do people think? It is small understatement to say Tash doesnt think i should do it lol

Johnny, its a 175cc. Heres my latest update which ive just copied across from the main board ... HOWEVER - my BSA Bantam is done! Id spent some time playing with it and ragging it around the fields. It needed a few little jobs, and so i decided to keep it to one side until summer arrived. However, during Jan i noticed it was no longer in my workshop. Knowing my birthday was coming up i said nothing as i know what Tash can be like. It gets to the week before my birthday, she can no longer keep it to herself, and so i am AT LONG LAST allowed back into my barn to be presented with my all new BSA Bantam! Turns out she has found a local garage who are happy to work on it to get it MoT'd. Got Fish (who works for me) to get the bike in his bus and take it to this garage, and then back to my house so it could go in our barn. At one point there was a problem with the log book, so she got onto the DVLA and managed to convince them to send her a new log book, but with a sticker over the address so it went to her and not me! By the time my birthday came she had arranged for the bike to be sorted, MoT'd, Insured, cleaned up my old boots, bought me a new jacket, and even bought a new lid!! She also polished the hell out of it!!!! Heres some pics she took while she was doing it. As long as the weathers ok i'll be riding it to the beds pub meet this Wednesday. Finally, a big "thank you" to my wife! She rocks!
