Dam this site, ;D does things to me that it shouldn't! Well pretty much after looking at the J tin google thread, i have a real bad hankering for some oldish J tin, but should i do it that is the question? I've spoken to a reputable importer already who said they can source me any vehicle, all they need is a deposit and the search will begin! My problem is this, would i be mental to import one of these, due to lack of parts availability, plus linked with my total lack of J knowledge, but i just love the look of these cars. Any info on these would be much appreciated, and coz i'm fussy it would have to be a manual, which i think all the Chasers are?? Anyway, here are some pics of the type of motors i'm interested, sorry i'm not very good with links, so just pics.! Or some thing a bit newer like this JZX81 Mark II Twin turbo

^^^ ;D ^^^ The one other thing, and i know it's not about making money, but more a case of buying something i want, but the importer reckons i'll be looking at max £3500, and i specified i'd want something already with a nice set of J rims, manual and with some engine mods, but financialy would i be shooting myself in the foot? Bearing in mind you've got shipping and registering on top of that, how much would i be loosing if/when i wanted to sell?

Why not just get yourself to an importers and see whats already in? Or find a car already in the country.
Not my thing but there are 2 absoluty mint chasers (or similar) owned by a dealer around the corner from me.
Living in Soton you see all sorts...

I was under the impression importers were only interested in newer stuff and performance vehicles, or Bongo Friendees and the like?
Soton being Southampton, right?
Are the Chasers the older or newer style?

I was thinking a better resale maybe?......Fair play though, keep your eye on these guys then, they often have interesting 80's stuff in.. www.japperformanceparts.co.uk/index.asp

Are the Chasers the older or newer style? Yep Southampton. they're mid '80s boxes if that helps... A couple of importers have started bringing in some unusual cars in the last few years. Last time I was down the docks there were a couple of Cubes and R1S and some other K car things.
