Suberb X 10000000! ;D Got visions of your neighbors peering round their (lace) curtains saying "'ere, Doris, that blokes sticking bits of curtain to the roof of his car..." Black lace as well, FTW...

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

Looks great, really subtle as has already been mentioned but suits the wagon down to the ground. How much was the lace if you don't mind me asking?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Back end looks like it could do with two lace panels: one below the window, one below the crease.

I love it, some inspiration that probably will make it onto the Ami Break at some point, along with numerous other ideas

Excellent stuff... looks spot on.
btw the tape, it should stick very well and do extremely tight curves. Maybe it's a non-flexy variety I've not seen - my 3M fineline 2mm is blue and will turn any radius and stick v.well. (I've got some green tape that looks like yours, that doesn't stick so well, but it's not 3M tho). Technique is to pin it down on the surface with one finger, and hold the reel in t'other paw about a foot or more away, make that hand into a sort of reel dispenser with a finger on the unrolling tape. Stretch slightly. It should do any radius and lay flat. Done small flames, coachlines with corners etc no probs with the blu gear. Yr all done now o'course, but hth.

I too thought the basecoat was grey, now I can see the Forest Green (that sounds like Syd Barrett wrote it).
This is one of my candidates for Car Of The Year this year, it's just so damned subtle, but looks brilliant.
