Are you allowed on the track or is it 'sneaky'
where is it anyway? Would love to visit.
Any chance of getting a car on it? Obviously not to rag around, just to take a few pics.

Had a quick look on the net, I'm 10 mins away from brooklands all weekend ;D
Where is good to visit, is it just there and abandoned, or is it all visitor centers and stuff.
As i already asked, can you just access it, get your car on etc?
Basically, ive got an oppertunity to go visit sunday afternoon, where should i go?
Thanks

Here's the museum website www.brooklandsmuseum.com/We went last year on a Triumph day and there had parking right up to the foot of the banking though you can't take a car on there. I don't know how much pedestrian access is normally allowed but we were able to wander freely on that section.

You can walk all the track in the museum grounds (about half mile of it) only seen cars on track at shows there and thats only parking at the bottom so probably not. Love the place ;D

Thanks An afternoon is not really enough time to do the site justice, as well as several different buildings with cars in there loads of other areas to look round, we spent a full day there and probably missed some stuff out, if you're that way and only have a short time pop in Mercedes World next door, free entry and loaded down with lots of classics amongst the modern stuff ;D

its just down the road from me.I use the go kart track there to skate on and my children cycle there too.alot of track is open to walk on as it flanks public roads and a super market.I can't imagine you can get a car on it because its subsiding in lots of places,it has to worth a look though ;)the museum is fanastic and even better on club days.its an all round great day out.Mercedes world is there too now,I've not been yet.

I think Brooklands is ace!! ;D I have been there twice for the New Years Day Classic/Vintage car meet. There are normally over a hundred fantastic motors there new and old on display!! You are allowed to walk on what's left of the track, but they don't normaly let cars on the track unless they run out of space to park cars in the main car park/exhibit area. They did let me take a few pics of my Scimitar on the track at the end of the day in 2007 though ;D Here's some more pics: It's well worth as visit if you're not hung over from the night before Dave

Been several times, usually 2 or 3 times a year. There's normally something new to see. My boy Jack likes it too so it's a great day out for both of us. No-one's mentioned all the aircraft there as well, it's not just cars there's motorbikes, land speed cars, even push bikes.
You really need to spend a relaxed whole day there, have lunch in the retaurant, it's not too expensive and the profits go back into the museum.
