I'm knocking around in one at the moment...its got some serious issues with niggly faults but its tough.
Pro's:
RWD. Reliable. I own the road.
Cons'
Pensionable image. Looks like a bungalow. Fugly. Incredibly so.
Has anyone given one the euro treatment? I have visions of an early 343 dumped on deep rim steelies. Or is this car completely impossible to make look good?
I'd like to pass the quest to you picture hunters now...
Funnily enough i was on a Volvo 300 series club website the other week. They can look really good lightly modified in the right way. Then again in sure they also look great euro'd like hell ;D
My first car was a 345 1.4. It was reliable but probably the worst car I have ever owned. Supposedly they made a good rally car with a 2.016V engine. But mine was just slow and wallowy. I actually enjoyed it in a sick and twisted kind of way
this is one seriously twisted site just been checking out some other vids on here. Volvo 340 variomatic "hossing it" (only suitable term for this sort of behaviour) round a set of garages set to Brian adams run to you
I was following an early 3 door 300 the other day and I started to have similar thoughts regarding euro look. Untill now I've been frightened to tell others about my feelings. Thankyou retro-rides for showing me that there are others out there like me and I don't need to suffer in silence any longer ;D ;D ;D.
