I slipped in a last minute bid and won this on Saturday night: It was described as an apollo retro bike, from the mid 90's. The owner's put MTB riser bars on it, but the chrome originals come with the bike. It's got 24 inch wheels, so I'm not sure if it'll be a bit small, but for what it cost I won't be complaining. I've gotta go and pick it up one night this week. I think the paint scheme will be either olive drab, or flat black, take the front brake off, find a chrome brake lever. If I get time I fancy having a go at making up some springer forks for it too. If anyone has any inspiration I'm open to suggestions!

Very cool frame. Odd choice of other running gear on it though. I'd go white sprung saddle and white rubber block pedals, wide bull horn handlebars with a tassle at each end and colour the frame and main sprocket in the same colour

I slipped in a last minute bid and won this on Saturday night: If anyone has any inspiration I'm open to suggestions! Id go: Pull back the steerer tube to shorten the frame and give it some increased fork rake, metalflake red, white Chopper style saddle and chrome sissy bar, more of a forward bend on the front forks, chrome apehangers with Tassles ;D

tsk. It is rather odd. I think apollo make those awful bottom budget sub £100 MTBs, hence the plastic brake levers Saying that the seller has various other bike related tat for sale. Cheers for the input so far!

She's much nicer, and the bike aint bad either!
I nearly bought one of those Issimo bikes a few months ago, but I missed out on the auction. I reckon with the right paintjob and the mudguards, rack, bell and and everything off, that could look a bit less girly

It's home! Guy selling it was a top bloke, well into his bikes. First thing I did when I got it home is ride it! First impressions, are- it's small. It's designed for a young teenager really, but I like the way it rides, has a kind of BMX quality to it. The brakes are pants too, they need adjusting and those levers changing. It's in really great nick, the paint is spotless and very shiny, the blue is a nice metallic, so I think it's staying that way. I took off the MTB riser bars, they're some generic alloy riser ones, so they had to go, I put these on: The bars make it even shorter, and harder to ride. The springer saddle is quite nice and V comfy: The welding is a bit suspect in places: Other than that I'm happy, I think to make it rideable for me (I'm 6ft) I need a chopper seat and a sissy bar. And I might spray the wheels black, as the chrome's a little pitted.

That looks good, has it got 20 inch wheels, and BMX bars?
Has anyone got a set of forks lying about that I can butcher? Not sure what size the steerer tube is, but it has a quill stem

My Orange Puch has 20 X 175 wheels which are 406mm 3 speed shimano hub gears with a twistgrip I'm going to put Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub alloy wheels on it Can fit a smaller cog to those..higher gears Might change the brakes as there BMX calipers. And Ive got a BMX needing brakes The Bars are from a Moped I think. There in a cast alloy MTB stem These Puch Mini Sprints had 20 X 1 3/8" wheels which are 451mm I got brake bridges welded to frame heres my other boys Puch. Not modded it yet
