Thought i'd better post this up over here Here is my new summer ride I've known of the car for a while as it is the only roadworthy example of a VB110 Sunny left in the UK, so when it came up for sale I was on it like a shot. After a day off work and a 220 mile trip to Surrey, I arrived to find it just as described It isnt mint, it needs a drivers door skin, rear arch dog legs and a couple of rear arch scabs sorting, and it could really do with some genuine sills, but, it's MOT'ed for a year, it's tax exempt, and it is in damn good condition for a 35 1/2 year old Datsun So i parted with my hard earned and became the proud new owner It performed faultlessly on the 220 mile return trip, and is one of the most genuinely enjoyble cars to drive I have ever driven Some pics then... Big thanks to Ed too for coming along and driving the MX6 back for me Plans are pretty much the same as my other one, I have some Hayashi Streets to go on, it will be slightly lowered and A14 powered. Last week I fitted some decambered rear springs and the rear Hayashi Streets I have for it Yesterday I shortened the front struts 90mm, and oven cleanered the front Hayashis to remove the corrosion ready for polishing. I ordered the tyres too (165 60 13) Front suspension should hopefully be fitted Tuesday

That's the kind of thread I like, a rare car turns up and then someone slaps a set of Hayashis on it whilst appying some stick action. Heroic.
What the deal on that little N12 in the backround of the first photos? That looks rather sweet too.

Personally the wheels just don't suit it ........... Give them to me to keep, so you don't give into temptation ;D great ride.

I fitted the front struts last night, and my tyres have arrived too. Sunday is going to be a busy day of polishing and painting the front wheels, fitting the tyres, chopping another coil out the front suspension and adding another leaf to the rear! Thanks for all the kind comments folks

I'm contemplating banning you from the forum so I never see the pics...I don't think I can take it. On second thoughts, do the work, post the pics and I'll do my best to control any urges I have. ;D
