Hi all, I've been reading this forum for 18 months or so but as I'm going to be coming along to the Gathering this year I thought it long past due that I introduce myself and my car! I've had the car for a little over 6 years and spent much of last year getting it to the point that you see here. If any of you read Mini World Magazine then you might recognise it as the one that was featured in last months mag. There's a full build thread here: - www.mlmotorsport.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,28/topic,567.0.html Anyway, hope you like it! Stig.

It moves a bit!
I've changed the cones for small coil springs recently which is just amazing the difference it's made to the handling! I really should have taken some photos as I was doing it but nevermind. I'll get some photos taken at some point of them on the car.
Glad you like it!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

That is truly awesome. Is that supercharger off a bloody rolls royce merlin engine? It's almost the same size as the car engine.

Cheers for the comments guys!
It's a rebuilt HiF44 SU which is the same one that you can get off a 1275 metro from a scrapyard, which keeps the costs nice and low, ish.
Yep, small coilsprings! There's a company called Minitastic (and many others for that matter!) that sell coils that replace the rubber cones of the standard suspension system. I'll take some photos of them on for anyone that's interested. I would have done some proper build photos but I was up to my neck in Copper greese trying to make sure the height adjusters will keep adjusting as time goes by! At the moment I've got it running quite a lot lower than in those photos with the new setup, but I might have to raise it just a touch for clearance.
Whilst I know the Merlin bit was a joke, it's the Eaton M45 blower incase anyones interested!

That is one of the best executed looks I have seen on one of these in a very long time.
Colour, signage, custom made bits , alll get my vote.
Oh, and welcome to the board
