^^ Eeesh ^^
Luckily my sump is steel - I've got a couple of dents in it and I reckon if it was ally it'd have smashed.
I'm planning to raise the engine up 10mm so that the cross-member is the lowest point.

Agreed - didn't damage anything besides the sump though *phew*, got a new sump now to fit.
If I keep the car (see my other thead here, I might have to get rid), I plan on raising the engine at some point, just spacers on top of the mounts/bigger mounts. i wish the sump was steel!

I'm sat here thinkin that aint a problem a splitter can soon be replaced.......i lowered an estate years ago and if the road camber wasnt dead flat the sump would bottom out on lumpy manhole covers and had to drop the back axle if i wanted to change a rear wheel/tyre .....luckily i never had a blow out though when i did sell it a few weeks later the new owner did have a blow out ............shame ...

When I had the Mazda Pick up I had to park about 1/4 mile away from the house cause of all the speedbumps down the street. Jolly pain in the backside I tell ya lol. Things we do to look cool huh??? lmao

Two things that do concern me about rolling so low: one is the sump splitting and killing the engine / leaving me stranded. The other is a blow-out - I think the scrub-line is something I really need to sort (and hopefully will have done with my new bigger rims. Nobody looks cool in a neck brace.
