Forgot to share this (been a hectic month with the show stuff and forum stuff!)
You can see a couple of things in there that aren't really mentioned in the video. When the previous rad was put in, it was too big for the hole that was there, to remedy this two chunks were cut out of the chassis rails, then left. Not treated, not capped, nothing (I didn't even know this had been done until I removed the rad, I was not best pleased). This has now been repaired.
What's THIS!?? An update, almost a year since the last.
So the big conundrum at the moment is wheels. I got a set of wheels made up for the car, the fronts fit fine, the rears are too wide with the current axle. They are three piece wheels, so I can get them re-rimmed, however they are custom rims from Force Racing, so it isn't just a case of finding new barrels and having at it. In the mean time the ridiculously rare Cromodora are sat on it, I really like them (others disagree), however they aren't really wide enough for the power this will put out when on song. The Slot Mags that I try in the video will fit with a bit of tyre magic, and maybe a bit of arch massage, however if I end up running 165/55 in order to get them to be under the arches I'm not in that much of a better place than the Cromodoras. I do like the way they look though (I had originally bought them in order to do a Mooneyes style project at some point).
Other than that the list is gradually getting shorter and I'm going to have to start thinking about what I want to do paint wise. I was very taken with this at SEMA last year:
However I'm not made of literal money, so maybe a bit too ambitious...
namless sent through some photos of it back on the floor after it got a rather tasty custom exhaust fitted. He has redone the suspension front and rear (as well as a million other things!) so now it sits a bit like this:
Here are some exhaust shots, done by the good folk at Fusion Fabs, go check them out if you need an exhaust of manifold
Still a few more bits to get done and then it is off for an MOT. THEN it is off for a tune up. THEN I get to drive it a bit, before heading back to Gobs for the thing that should have been the only thing needed when I got it back from where it was originally, the grotty bodywork.
Oh and I also need to speak to BenzBoy about what I'm doing with the interior and potential paint, so colours and stuff all make sense.
