I've had a quick trawl around the net for any existing forums fors for the other big marques, Ford, Vauxhall, Rover etc. there are hardly any that are active. So now I'm wondering how to find other people to join,..
I'm sure there will be a cabal of people from VZi but how to get the word to everyone else that would be interested?
Are any of you on any other forums where there may be like minded people??

i have some ford boards bookmarked at home, they are / were pretty simple boards but did get some use, so a few people might turn up here for a look...

I've got a load bookmarked at home too - vauxhall, opel, ford, peugeot, renault etc etc... I'll dig them out and stick a post up on each of them.
Got to spread the word! I can't be the only one that spends endless hours trawling the internet for this kind of stuff!

Thats what I figured,.. its difficult with forums to get them up and running as you get a flurry of initial posts then it calms down and the momentum can go,.. hopefully we can get a couple of pages of interesting stuff up on here then it'll be worth sending it off to magazines etc. |

Thats what I figured,.. its difficult with forums to get them up and running as you get a flurry of initial posts then it calms down and the momentum can go,.. hopefully we can get a couple of pages of interesting stuff up on here then it'll be worth sending it off to magazines etc. Sounds like a good plan! I'm sure we can find plenty of interesting content... I'm not on my regular machine right now but I know I've got avout 200 sites of all marques bookmarked... PLENTY to be going on with! |

Might be worth putting something on the Edition38 site. There are some nice early examples of VeeDubs on there and owners who might appreciate it here  www.edition38.com |

If I can find them I'll pass them on... They were collated on a machine I used to have, and I backed all the bookmarks up so they are here somewhere *looks around at stacks of unlabelled CDs*

I think I might print a sheet out with copies of the forum logo on, might be worth slipping them under the wipers of likely motors?
Saw a Lancia Beta Spyder not too long ago that looked worthy, you never know!

Thats a good idea,.. was thinking of leaflets and things for shows,.. Want to get some kind of website sorted,.. even if its just the logo and a link to this board.
Once we've got a couple of pages of post I'll get onto the magazines.

I'm going to spend an hour or so digging through my bookmarks - I think I've found a CD with them on - and I'll see what's still active.
I've noticed three or four cars that look promising parked in the local 6th form car park - some Minis, a Capri and a Chevette - so I'll flyer those on a day when it doesn't look like rain (so the flyers don't get ruined).
I've got about 30 in the car - I saw a cool HB Viva last week but I wasn't in the Golf! Doh!
