Had a minute or two today: Major fail - hole in my bucket and no Gunk so made a start with Autoglym engine cleaner and some foam degreaser. Was a bit grotty underneath so going to clean the lot of first: Hmmm, bucket, gunk then a gasket fail... . :-(

All sprayed, will see how the finish is when it's had time to dry and clean off the lettering and raised bits. :-)

That shell looks way to far gone to bother with mate. Unless you can make all your own repair sections and you love to weld? I'd be more inclined to rip the Zender arch kit off along with the rear spoiler and anything else that will unbolt. I'll buy the front brake callipers off you for my e21.

Which pictures are you going on? The rotton ones are from the brown one I cut up?
There's bits and bobs on the blue one I've noticed need sorting but I've seen a lot worse on here fixed with a bit of work.

That silver one made the floor of mine look mint!, Mines in at the garage at the moment having the rear subframe weided up, Common rust point for these I hear. Looks like a great project though I bet it will cost a bit, I'm having a hell of a job finding bits for mine with are not expensive. Need a front downpipe and a clutch master cylinder at the moment but them alone will cost over £200 from jaymic before I start anything else! I'm hoping to get mine to look something more like this by the time I finish if I have the money, But I'd have to lost the front valance, not keen on that. Looking forwards to seeing yours all done as there isn't many around anymore.

Need a front downpipe and a clutch master cylinder at the moment but them alone will cost over £200 from jaymic before I start anything else! Try Walloth and Nesch mate - www.wallothnesch.comThe Euro isn't doing us any favours at the moment but they are usually pretty good compared with UK prices on bits like that. It's worth signing up to their weekly newsletter as they fire out special offers on a frequent basis. There are also a few fella on the Jiglu forum for the 02 who LOVE to help. They're really passionate about the cars and are always glad to help keep another one on the road. bmw02.jiglu.com/

Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

E21 - Not sure mate, I popped it to the garage yesterday as it was running rough, Turns out it was curse word in the carb as it's not been used for years but the mechanic (My dad's mate) said the cylinder is leaking, Waiting to find out if he's happy to repair it or if it's to far gone.
Jon - Signed up to Jiglu yesterday as it seems the only forum about for UK 02 owners, Spotted the chap selling the parts, Seems a handy chap to know! I agree about the poor euro, downloaded Walloth brochure the other day, Not sure if they are cheaper then Jaymic or not after postage. The downpipe is cracked, If he can wield it he will but if not it will need replacing, If the worse comes to it, I might pop down the local motor factors with the old pipe and see if we can match something up or cut and shut it.

So you've got a twin headlight set-up then? That must be pretty rare?
I prefer the singles myself although they are actually about as powerful as candles in jamjars. I'm about to start work on the lower corners of the front panel on my 02. I would like some Alpina rims for it eventually and it'll look just like the pastel blue one in the photo above.
I think thats a 1502 that belonged to an old guy in Kent? I last saw it about 15 years ago and it was absolutely mint.

I'm on a zero budget at the minute so am sticking with the twin setup - the grills original but I think the lights are fake in that I've seen something very similar on Ebay that is from an early E30. A couple of the inners are shot along with all the lights being smashed so I'll have to keep an eye out for some cheap to replace them. The brackets have some tabs welded onto them in order to fit them (need to cut them off and tidy them up before refitting them). Those Alpina looks like 15" which are expensive. :-(

I think they might be 16's from an e30 as they have the later covers over the wheel bolts.
Nothing wrong with making the most of the set-up you have. If I ever hear of some cheap standards I'll give you a shout though.

Sourced the lights using the parts numbers on the smashed ones from a local Hella retailer, a stupendous £180.67 - even wanted to charge me £7.50 plus vat for the delivery order to get them into stock... er righto. Found two inners so far as NOS on Ebay, for £11.00 each - listed seperately two weeks apart by same seller, could have offered me the second one but nevermind. Got a Coach firms number for the outers as they list the part number but with no price so see how much they want.

Claypole - if you want anything from bay.de or .be etc... gimme a shout. I'll get the in-laws to cover .de purchases and we'll send 'em - just drop a line and we can sort it. Belgium and frnace/Netherlands I can cover no sweat. Good luck with it - that zender kitted body is definitely worth the effort.

Tiny update, lol, not happy with the light assemblies but best i could do with them as they were. Will order the two outer lights as I've not found any bargains only new from a Hella Dealer. Managed to get the main beams from Ebay for £25.00 for both, two auctions but same seller a month apart... They would have been £71.00 .
