Looking at a diesel for my next daily. Seen a tidy BX 1.9 TGD. Any good and can they be used on veg oil? Last BX I had was a 1.4 which was comfy, but just too "thrashy" on the motorway. Also looked at an Escort 1.8(?) TD, again, veg oil burners? Sorry, but I need something as I don't want to run the Capri into the ground going to work. Retro pic, latest wheels (14" Revolutions)

Escort depends on pump, lucas NO, Bosch yes. Bx diseasels seem to have a good reputation, rotodiesel NO, Bosch yes. May I present you with this link for your perusal in this matter. I'd also add ZX, 405, 309 to your list (veg + bio powered 405 STDT Estate as daily myself)

My mate had one a few years back I think it was a 1.9 either way it was deffo a turbo diesel. Great car quickest diesel i've been it to date (bar a 130 bhp golf GT PD TDi), gave my old MFi XR3 a run for its money off the lights and on the ring road could out run me well into three figures, with a few tweeks I guess they could be even quicker. Anyway it came to a sticky end, he always run it in the lowest setting (which looked awesome, however) it broke the suspension and it collapsed after that it gradually got more and more fuct and it was sent to the breakers.
