"Its not a bloody Escort" I shouted this morning as the steward at the Ace Cafe told us to park the "escort" over there waggling his finger. We ignored him and parked right in front. Went in for breakfast. (egg and bacon sandwich cuppa tea if you must all know) Anyways I digress: Once back home I washed off 30 years of dust and Volla, one MK1 GT in very clean good condition bar a few dents and minor welding (I hope). The interior needs cleaning and one or two odd bits sorting out Note the last tax disc 1978  and the nice engine department (all be seized solid) Ohhh the sleepless night this one will give me LOL. This is why I needed to sell the HA this week and make room ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Loads more pictures here www.annteak.com/viva/?page_id=384

Now that's pretty spesh! When it's done it will literally urinate all over any nearby "fat-bum-builder-tax" Mk1 Escort.

Love the Viva, would definitely have been my classic Vauxhall of choice had I not needed a hatchback.

Lovely Viva buddy, what are you doing with the engine? I'm sure you have something stashed away to slip in its place??

Its not listed with the DVLA as its been off the road since 1978, but I still have the registration retention certificate. It will be fun I am sure doing all the paperwork to re register the car, its never easy working withe DVLA. Engine wise, no idea what to do just yet, It will remain slant four 2 litre to all intetions, albeit filter changes to some nice ones my mate in Norway has promissed me ;D the very ones on his Firenza here. Its been sat 30 years so I am in no rush to try and balls it up, its going to be a slow process to get it up and running

well i think mods might happen, but only in terms of things like electrical arial, better tunes (hidden) and maybe a few engine tweaks

Thats gonna be brilliant. What about dropped a couple of inches, chevette hs wheels, a rorty exhaust and a bit of engine tuning.

That looks a pearler ...... amazing what a good wash can do for a motor! - Looks to have been well stored, hopefully not gonna surprise you in the sills/floorpan area Good luck with it - gonna be a peach with such a good ( looks it ) base. ;D

chevette hs wheels, a rorty exhaust and a bit of engine tuning. Matt HS wheel's don't fit, all VIVA are 4" PDC not 100mm. As for exhaust its a twin pipe system anyways! what more do you want!
